They landed Derrick Green and a mediocre 2014 QB, so now they think they're going to get all of these great players from VA.

Ha, is that really their logic? No one in Richmond (where Green and Speight are from) cares what anyone in Woodbridge (where Hand is from) does, and probably vice versa. They are 90 miles apart but might as well be 500.

Now, if we were talking about players from the Hampton Roads area, that might be different. From Lawrence Taylor (Williamsburg, close enough) to Allen Iverson (yes, he was a legendary HS QB in Hampton) to Taquan Mizzell, that's been the hotbed of Virginia football recruiting.

Gigantic bullshit. Go find me any article from 2010/2009 about him injuring his back. It never happened until all of a sudden he wanted a year of eligibility back. No surgery. No quotes from during the season about a back injury. Nothing. Was he practicing during that season? Would love to hear from Rich Rod.

Meanwhile tears a ligament before his fresh year and then tears his Achilles.... no 6th. Insane.

I dont have the stats but does anyone know if they tend to give the year back to kids who aren't close to graduation? Slaughter already received a 5th had his degree in hand.

Not saying this is right at all just seeing if the NCAA tends to favor the kids still with years of schooling left, maybe justifying themselves as allowing them to get their degree or something?
