So happy for K Russ. With Manti gone, he is now the best tackler on the team. One has to wonder if because he came in as a RB, he was taught the proper way to tackle with zero bad habits coming in. He's one of my favorites on the defensive side of the ball. Congrats my man.

Standing applause for our elite corner --- AA frosh IS elite. Wait till we see him with all the smarts he's gaining from the playing time. A winning surprise far beyond our wishes last year.

I hope this is not true.

If you want, go back and watch the film from last year. I can remember only a few times where there was a broken or missed tackle from KR. I think I heard a stat towards the end of last season saying that receivers only had 12 YAC when thrown in his direction. His tackling is incredible.

I think it was In Lou I Trust who I convinced of this during the live chat of a game this year. Help me out here my man.

I know he is a good tackler. I just hope they we have some linebackers who might be just as good or better.

Personally, I'd like my CB/S to be the best tacklers on the team. They are more likely than not making open field, solo tackles as opposed to linebackers stuffing the holes or turning a play back inside then gang tackling. Just my opinion though.

Congrats Keivarae. Shows that hard work pays off. Yes he did have talent too, but he worked hard to be a starting corner.

Darby will hurt for awhile. If it wasnt for his love of track. :(

Obviously it can't hurt as much to any of you know, as it does for him. Think about it; how often does someone have a clearly demonstrated path of what could have been, laid out before them! Same with Poole at Fl.

“@BobWienekeNDI: KeiVarae said he played at 178 in BCS game and talked about tackling Lacy. "This is not gonna work." Has gained 10-12 pounds in offseason.”

“@BobWienekeNDI: KeiVarae also said after tackling Lacy that his chest hurt for two weeks.”

I cringe imagining the circle jerk such quotes will initiate among 'Bama fans.

I don't care much for that tweet but KR putting in the work to become our starting corner beating out other players and continuing to work hard to be the best he can after be recruited for running back just shows that this kid wants to win and will do want ever to help this team. I wish more players had this kinda heart.
