My favorite bourbon, very well-balanced. There's lots of good lore to go along with Blanton's as well. There are a total of 10 different race horse bottle tops, so they are very collectible. Also, Blanton's started out as Colonel Blanton's private stock that he served to dignitaries and VIPs. This stuff was taken from the the middle of the warehouse as was called "the center cut" because it seemed to consistently be head and shoulders above the rest of the bourbon. The labels are all hand numbered, and an age statement is not put on the bottle because the distiller releases it when he thinks it's ready, not because of a pre-determined number of years in the barrel.

PSYCHED about my day trip to FFF tomorrow! Apparently they released a new black IPA in bomber bottles today. Can't wait to pick some up.

Three Floyds really is the best. Zombie Dust in particular is unbelievable. Just bursting with flavor. I remember the last time I had it, I had a very good beer directly after (can't even remember which, a Founders beer I think) and I could not even taste it. Anything tastes bland after a Zombie Dust.

So true. And the best part is how close it is to Chicago. For anyone out of the area making a trip into SB for a game or whatnot, make a point to take a side trip to the FFF brewpub. Their beer is simply spectacular.

Love me some Zombie fresh from the tap! Hope you had a good time man.

Tried New Belgium Dive earlier tonight, not bad. Just a little hoppy and some fruit taste.

Now, I'm trying this for the first time:

Dragons Milk is amazing. Dark, thick beer. I love sitting by the campfire in summer and sipping on some. Pairs great with steak.

I wish. (my wife would say yes she does). I am down from my peak of 150 bottles of whisky, 50 bottles of wine and 50 bottles of beer (Down is relative, to 75 bottles of whisky 20 bottles of beer and 20 bottles of wine). I love to try new things. Both drinks and food (I love to try new food). Anything that pushes my taste buds and is new and different is always welcome in my house.

That's awesome. Would love to eventually build up a collection like that. More on the beer side of things for me, but I'm always down to try some great new beers. Especially being from Chicago and the rest of the Midwest, I would love to get some more of the Colorado/California type brews.

I try but drink it too fast.

A lot of people on BeerAdvocate gave mediocre reviews bc of a bad after-taste but frankly I didn't experience it. It smells absolutely amazing, like fresh baked bread with dark fruits. It was very enjoyable and I would prob give it a 4.75/5

I can still taste the Red Dog myself...think that 30 pk probably cost about $10 too.

Went with the Arrogant Bastard tonight. Darker than I thought it would be but I like it a lot.

I've been tempted to try this several times already. I'll definitely be picking one up based on your endorsement.

Poured a Lagunitas Sucks. Just flat out amazing. I will post full notes in a few days as I work my way through the six pack but needless to say if you like DIPAs get it. The nose is full of tropical frutis and citrus. The palates is citrus and piney hops. Yummy.

New Belgium Lips of Faith - Bier De Garde. Has a different aroma to it but it tastes pretty good.

Really want to try the Super IPA though.

Ha! Lets hope so!

Funny thing, went for a refill and had it wrong, It's actually Biere De Garde

Merde! "Lager beer" is not nearly as fun as "March beer."

I can see it now: A label with "Bière De Mas" on top of some graphic of a lion and a lamb with "In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb" below the graphic. I think that I should look into starting a micro-brewery specializing in beers with names and labels that feature horrible word play.

Wanna buy in?
