Welcome Elijah. IMO this is Slaughter's understudy for a year and then he is a 3 year starter. The physicality he will bring to the safety spot will simply be awesome. Love the fact we got our man from Bosco! Just need one more elite DB to complete another amazing Kelly class. Darby,Poole or Wright? I would be thrilled to have anyone of them.

I was just informed that I may have to change my name to Elijah Shumate- Williams .... because someone already has the rights to my name...

I wonder what he means by that? Nobody can have the rights to a name. I could go down and change my name to Jesus Quintana tomorrow if I wanted to.

there have been immoral "entrepreneurs" on the internet who register celebrity and other domain names to extort cash out of whomever for years.

I don't even take ESPN's recruiting rankings into consideration anymore. Elijah is a top 5 safety in this class no doubt. 4-15 on ESPN are all 80's overall. Of course they would put him at 14 on the low end, just because.

Imaginary Discussion

ESPN "Scout" 1: "I hate that kid. He's slow. Doesn't react well to the ball in the air. Got an attitude that is negative to his team."

ESPN "Scout" 2: "Well, it looks like he just comitted to Auburn five minutes ago."

ESPN "Scout" 1: "Really?"

ESPN "Scout" 2: "Yup."

Long silence

ESPN "Scout" 1: "I love this kid. He's sneaky fast. He plays the body well, leading to contact at the point of reception. He isn't a ball hawk, but he can cover. He's got a swagger about him that will be an asset to any team.

Adorns ceremonial goat-head headress, grasps chalice of Bear Bryant's refrigerated blood

"Atrum Dominatio of SEC , EGO tribuo meus animus vobis. Beatus per athletes oh SEC , EGO imbibo vas of cruor of Bryant pareo meus unholy pactum. Diabolus , Senior , Malum , Niger Deus , Urbanus Meyer."

ESPN "Scout" 2: "All hail our dark lords of the SEC".

When I saw this thread bumped, my heart sank.

In fact, every time I see any of the threads bumped my heart sinks.

I have a friend whose name is Aaron Rodgers, he owns AaronRodgers.com and of course got an offer from my boy (the football A-Rod) 3 years ago and didn't take it. (I am a huge Packers fan) I called him an idiot but he said he only offered a couple hundred for the rights. He is now selling the domain and has everything labeled in Green and Gold!

Today, we celebrate Saint-John Bosco (Don Bosco). May he guide Elijah through his journey at Notre Dame. Amen
