I think he also used the "down to' reference when he was discussing his visit.

Yup..I specifically remember the "down to" reference when we were discussing his visit. Probably just a habit. Very pumped he is on board.

The elevation of Phoenix, Arizona is 1,117 ft. above sea level.

The elevation of South Bend, IN is 773 ft. above sea level.

So technically, "down" is correct, if only marginally.

I live in Northern Kentucky, but when we head across the river to Cincy, we usually say that "we're heading down to Cincy." GET OFF HIS BACK.

Wow...all this attention paid to a colloqialism? I have heard people all my life say "down there" or "up there" no matter the direct or elevation. I love y'all but I hope this is all juststress relief satirical posting (pretty sure Wooly was and love that he actually went to the trouble to look up elevations...Bless ya 'bug)

Yeah i know lots of people including myself who say they're "heading down to (anywhere)" even if its further north. No big deal

I'm sure most of you don't know this but South Bend is actually the North/South continental divide.

A fun little fact for your day

The Earth is round. Space lacks direction. There is no up or down. Not to mention we're all in the Matrix anyway.

Well space has at least 13 dimensions. So I'm not exactly sure what you guys think "down" means. Only people who go to Florida or other SEC schools see in 3D- Us Notre Dame folk see in all 13 dimensions.

But really this is absurd. I am just excited for him to get to ND. He has great fluidity in his hips and is a true corner (IMO). I can't wait to see what the coaching staff can do with him, though it may be tougher for him to get alot of playing time earlier (hopefully; because if he does it will most likely be due to injury).

With the depth that we are starting to get there will be strong competitiion at every position. I'm hoping that competition produces a true "lock-down" cornerback. The bend but don't break served us well this year...until the NCG. I'd rather we get to the point where we don't bend at all and we have confidence in our corners to play in the receivers face. Ten yards cushions results in too many yards on first down. Luke has the potential to develop into this kind of corner...IMO

Yeah, i think its a shortened slang of "heading on down the road to" that we humans have changed over the decades

Thanks PA Golden for posting all of the Rivals rankings. I love this class and when the staff "coaches them up" it's going to be a blast!

pry the one kid in the class that I look at and say "damn that is a good pick-up".

IDK - he's just quiet and a concensus :s::s::s::s: just nice knowing they are replenishing the secondary with guys like this.
