And if you needed any more reason to love Lou, here is another. He is the most down to earth likeable guy I could possibly imagine.

ND DT Louis Nix insisted to me after the game that ND's DL didn't get dominated. He asked: "Do you think Barrett Jones dominated me?"

Pete Thamel ‏@SIPeteThamel
Nix pointed the problem on missed tackles. Why? "I can't explain it. Can you tell me why we're on earth? Can you tell me, what is gravity?"

I agree with him.

I don't think the O-Line dominated. I do however think Lacy and Yeldon dominated.

i think the D Line really struggled disengaging all night, which created a problem. any tiny seam that there was lacy and yeldon found it and exploded through it. backers just didn't seem as decisive as they had been in the past and when they were like stated they missed the tackle.

He's right about that -- he owned Barrett Jones.

The anchor on the d-line next year. A leader on the team next year. And a future top 15 NFL draft pick. Gotta love Big Lou!

I have feeling he will come back so much more fierce and determined. Getting outplayed as a team, I don't think Mr. Lou will accept anything less from his teammates and himself next year.

IMO, the big problem was missed tackles by linebacker, safeties, and corners. Nix was in the backfield a lot and so were a lot of players. Difference was we whiffed on the tackels. Haven't counted but I would be that if you went back and did so, there was around 7-8 missed tackles in the backfield for negative plays.
