This is question to any and all. What prospects that aren't talked about frequently do you believe we have a chance with if we continue to play good football? Good equals 9-11 wins.

Leon McQuay might come back into the picture, if we don't get two of Alexander/Willis/Moore/Luke.

So with the recent luke article does anyone think we go ...Moore,Luke and Muhammad ? Where does Willis fit in if he is blown away by his visit? Turning point has said or hinted things about Willis. Do we make room? I wondered what Willis and Luke s timelines are? This class will achieve much TOGETHER! Go Irish ...

You take two regardless. They are talented and in position of need, Really doubt all 3 pick ND. Can't access the link but what I have read on Luke doesn't sound good.

Isaac S. is who I want.

I know this kid has said that he doesn't want to be in Manti's shadow, but dang. What other school has supported a hawaiian player as Notre Dame has with Manti. He would be playing with players like Lynch, Day, Nix?, JSmith, Ishaq, Rochell, Randolph and Anzalone. The kid be part of something huge, and Manti paved the road for him.

I really hope our season starts to make him reconsider Notre Dame as an option.

I don't see the need for another LB in this class.

They need DB's and DL.

oops, I meant Tuitt. I don't even know who that kid is....

I find it hard to believe that we wouldn't take him. We would move someone to Dline to fit a kid of his talent onto our team. He is one of the best players in the country.

I like the McQuay idea, his father seems to value education and mentions us a lot we just need to get him to campus. 7-8 wins going into November could do that!

I'd like the class to finish up with Alexander, Moore, and Muhammad. Space provided adding Folston. But at this point I would rather have the pass rushing OLD/DE than another running back, even tho I really like Folston.

I've heard it from an incontrovertible source on Irish Envy that Lynch is back on the team .... Some might say that this is "wooly thinking" but I heard it clearly stated.

Now let's see how long it takes that pebble to race around the internet pond....

I like getting your guys input on these questions. If you had to take one of LJ Moore or Cole Luke, who would you take and why?

That's where I'm at as well, as much as I like the RB's that ND are still involved with I would rather those scholarship to go to true 3-4 DE or NG, CB's or an elite talent that can't be passed up as well as CAT prospect A.Muhammad.

Guys I went to public school, and I'm not the smartest man in the world. So I have to ask is this true?

It was a joke, but those clowns have taken information that GB and others have dropped here and pretended it's their source.

So in essence, it was a joke about true events. That's why I left off the italics.

If the Luke situation is true then I think we would take Willis, Moore, and Luke if they all want to come. Save the 4th scholly for Muhammad.

I would say take a running back but looking at next year, we will be fine with GA3, McDaniel, Mahone, James, and who knows maybe Cierre won't have a good enough season to leave

don't forget about carlisle. i agree, another rb in this class doesn't seem to be as important as DE and secondary depth

I shouldn't bump this thread, but I've been reading a lot of the 2013 cycle recruit threads and we are into the time of year again where people are saying: Yes, let's take him; yes, we can't pass him up; yes, let's take both of these guys.... etc. I believe that I've counted over a dozen guys who "there's no way you don't accept his commitment!!!".

These comments are often followed by: "we'll just take less 5th years". Ho hum, no problem.... Well, I see a BIG problem with that sort of casual "solution". If this comes down to a new athlete vs Zach Martin or Chris Watt, we're in BIG risk for 2013 on the O-Line. I realize that we may not get them back anyway, though I believe that the odds are in our favor for their return. But we are a WAY better football team in 2013 with Martin and Watt than without them. Without them we must replace nearly the entire line. Not a good idea.

I'm willing to give up on bringing back Fox and Calabreese if the potential recruit is that good [we are not talking about LBs now; we KNOW that our LB class is the best around already --- we're simply talking about scholarship slots for elites]. I'm also willing to let Jamoris move on, even if he gets his 6th year, which seems doubtful. But what about Cierre?? Do we really want to go with just the youngsters there?

My bottom line is that there are three 5th years that I'd like to hold onto no matter how many elites want to jump aboard the train. I am for winning immediately, and building for the future in multiple years. [not just one fabulous haul at the expense of a BCS shot].

My real reason for this post is that I can see some posters railing for Coach's head because he had to pass on someone they think is non-negotiable.

Martin, Watt and Wood are all proven NFL-caliber players, which means their return is non-negotiable if they want to come back. Proven veteran play-makers are rare and invaluable commodities in CFB; one simply doesn't trade such players for "potential", no matter how many stars come attached it.
