I'm sure he is gonna being ready to go this weekend. Don't know how much time he will see cause with Slaughter out Motta is gonna need to be out there every play lining up the other young guys.
He was really jacked up for the opening kickoff against Mich. St. can't wait to see what he can do when its Mich he is hitting instead of GAIII lol.
All you who don't think highly of Motta, haven't been up on things as much as you would like? Well you are half right, there were times he missed assignments, but he has never been slow. Motta will need to be out there. But it was confirmed in the post-MSU press conference that Slaughter would be out permenently with a ruptured Achilles tendon. (NOT AN ACHILLES HEEL as some have misstated.) In fact, I think his surgery is today. But as Coach Kelly stated, he felt bad for Jamoris, and regretted that loss, but there were people back there, ready to take over. In fact, as a test, Kelly said he wouldn't have a problem brining Farley up on the line as an extra backer, one of Slaughter's specialties.
I say you are half right, as that puts youway ahead of some previous posters. Coach Kelly said that Salvi could also help with alignment of yongsters but he was going to play some people.
A) Motta will gain significant reputation as a team leader and the phenomenal tallent that he is. He also has suffered with something akin to the Harrison Smith effect. Back a few years ago I argued for HS when the majority wanted to write Harrison off; You are going to see Zeke EXPLODE. My prediction. He will knock the shiit out of some people this weekend and remain assignment correct.
B) A lot of bodies are going to play. This is a disciplined group of kids. There will be subsitutions to keep fresh legs. The back end will support the front seven admirably.
