I find it hard to believe he threw the headset, because when they show him taking them off at the end of games, someone usually helps him, because they are clipped on his hack or back of his pants

As to #2, I don't think it's the DWI in and of itself. At least not to me. Everybody makes mistakes, sometimes the mistake ends up with a DWI. The only reason it's turned into a topic is because the article portrays BK as a headset thrower in a worse light than a coach with a DWI. The inconsistency is conspicuous and highlights the bias of the parents/article writer. I'm not outraged, it's a relatively small matter, but it's interesting to note.

Thanks for the input; but back here in Northwest Ohio, where you have a bit of a Buckeye backlash along the border, there is a fairly strong U of C contingent. Either that or I know them all. They used to love their Kelly; called Tressel the second best coach in the state. When Kelly left before the bowl with Fla, they became instant haters, and have remained so since. With the tragedies last fall you should have heard the fevered pitch! There was nothing on the scUM boards any worse. So I could never figure, Kelly's bad ink or pure ND loathing.

Situational irony, then, that he plays football for a coach who got DUI and now gets caught with weed.

And in no way do I mean to pile on. People make mistakes, and I'm not all about the anti-weed agenda. Don't smoke it, but I've got no problem with it either. AND I don't want to laugh at a kid's first mistake. Just funny how things work out sometimes, that's all.

I was/am smoker depending on money situation/occasion. Smoke less now that I work and have my own bills but def smoked my fair share.

I still knew not to smoke in season. It isn't hard to do.

While I don't think it's fair to pile on it is beyond fair to point out the relevance of the situation. I understand kids make mistakes but to take a shot at Kelly like he and his family did was uncalled for considering that he was going to play for a coach that had been arrested for a DUI and now DGB, himself, is facing a criminal charge for drugs. The hypocritical nature of the situation from the start and now, more recently, screams immaturity.
