Illinois is a pretty pricey education if I recall correctly. It better be damn good one.

You didn't need to qualify your initial statement. Illinois is a good school, but ND is offering Augusta twice the degree value. That's a pretty significant margin.
Illinois is 54th for College ROI. Net Cost to Graduate is $123,300 out-of-state, but $63,710 for in-state. Good deal for local kids, less so for others.

Yeah the costs are getting out of control. Thanks Whiskey for the figures. It's crazy to me how Illinois can be 8th or 9th in all three ROI figures but ND can still offer such a higher value. That shows truly how special ND is, and I think also has a lot to do with the fact that there were a lot of kids who didn't graduate from Illinois' football program.
Oh and Wooly, no problem man, I didn't take it that way at all! I went to Illinois, am a die hard ND football fan, and can clearly recognize which is the better academic institution. Still love my alma mater though and wish all the time that I had eschewed the cost effective option (Illinois, at the time) and gone to ND. No worries, though!

Haven't made it to a Peoria High game... things can get kind of scary (read ghetto) at them. I'm going to try and catch the Manual vs Peoria High game this year and see Tuley-Tillman battle it out against Augusta. Should be a great match up.
As far as why Illinois for him; it's 1 hour 45 min from Peoria and Illinois fans love the Illini like Ohio fans love OSU. They (UofI) might be hard to beat.

Did he really move up there? I must have missed that. Then maybe I will pick the game at Peoria Notre Dame. Nicer facilities and crowd.

Focusing on Missouri, Iowa, Indiana, Nebraska, Michigan State, Illinois and Notre Dame and trying to set up visits to the first four. Have to believe we haven't been pursuing that much as of late...

Michigan used to be on his top list, now gone apparently. That seems to me a disappearance of interest on UofMs part. Michigan State used to be top four, now down. Another cooling of interest??

Love this kid as a player as well. Would be a very good DL on our team. But there some kids we'll never get and he's one of them. Think he has a bright future
