Another point of note, this once again proves our staff doesn't really give a crap about height for ILBs if they're the right guy. This was obvious when they offered James Ross last year and is still true. I hope this puts that myth to rest... they look for "fit" in general but do not have a hard and fast rule on height.

Lax i see his height varies from 6'-2" to 6'3"..... i mean what's an inch between friends right?
IMO i do not see us going under 6'2" possibly 6'1" at ILB.... anything less will be a little undersized taking on blocks.... unless they are completely jacked...

The offer list since they came on board shows they do care about height but they also show flexibility for the guy they want.

ESPN showing him at 238. And a 4 star, higher than the other 3. Read somewhere he's packed on 15lbs recently. Hoping Longo will add some more and make him quicker.

“The visit was great,” Deeb told Rivals.com. “Just the fact that you walk in and the facilities and players’ apparel is incredible. All of the stuff at the school is great, but every Division I school is going to have that. What set them apart was meeting with the business school advisors, which is what I want to major in, as well as the academic advisors, I knew that was the place for me. Also, the faith aspect with visiting the church, and some of the mentors and priest. It is just a special place in that I think it offers a lot more than just football

Worth a repeat.

“Thankful and blessed to make the decision to commit to THE UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME,”
Deeb tweeted.

Welcome to ND, Michael. For the next 4-5 years you will be asked to be a student as well as a football player. You have made a great choice in selecting ND, and I am looking forward to seeing your accomplishments both on the field and in the classroom.

I really enjoyed Deeb's film. Quite the hard hitter, contact and then it seems like it is fast forwarding to ground impact!

Is everyone on this board cycling together? Jesus Christ ladies....

As for Deeb I think he has good potential at MIKE. If you look at our recruits...

Jaylon DOG WILL CAT
Mattingly DOG WILL
Deeb MIKE
Anzalone WILL MIKE DOG

If we hopefully land Anzalone you'd be looking a really solid group with a lot of flexibility... all we would need is an elite CAT prospect and it'd be an incredibly solid LB core. Deeb to me is a lot like Carlo; and Carlo sure as hell is not a fit at WILL. Could've been a really good MIKE in a world that didn't have Manti Te'o.

Mattingly at CAT. I'm tellin' you.

And I agree that Deeb has a lot of Carlo in him in that he's a tough SOB who can get downhill and play the run, but I think there's some qualities of his that are flat out better than Carlo's. I think he's a more practiced LB than Carlo, I think he knows how to pass cover better than Carlo, and I think he can come in knowing he needs to be a or the vocal leader of the LBs if he is playing MIKE and he has the experience and ability to do so.

My, he has a lot of highlights!

I was thinking today, watching Deeb and Alex. I think they are a match pair. My do they complement each other. And they both seem to be so good in coverage.
