That lady cutting down the tree is lucky to be alive.

Happened to a pretty well-known guy in my home town a while back.

Was out in the woods cutting trees down on his property... a tree bounced up and then backwards after it dropped. I will spare the details, but it was a bad situation for all involved.

The wife is working on a dresser/baby changing piece of furniture for a couple of grandkids due later this summer. It came with some decorative scrolled pieces she wants to remove and replace with pieces that are a little taller to protect the baby. I explained I could get a nice finished 1x4 that I could cut to match the length and reuse the holes from the dowels.

I was going to cut everything and drill the holes for the dowels when she told me to hold off because she wants to do it. A little later came the expected, “Can you come and cut this wood for me?” Lol

There are times where I absolutely hate seeing this thread/title because it's symptomatic of the unwillingness to listen to the other....

but at other times I'm like, "F$%#%(#)%*#%, my wife just did that same sh*#".....

So mea culpa.

I'm sorry that I internally bitch about the same things and I roll my eyes at all you schlubs

My wife does the cardboard box thing all of the time. Like it's a privilege for me to be able to break them down and recycle them myself. She'd leave them on a chair near the sliding glass door..."oh, I was going to do that later." Really, you were saving the 10 extra steps to dispose of the box in the recycling bin outside until a later time?

I've spoken to her about it "if you don't want to properly dispose of the box, stop ordering stuff that comes in the box." We have this little recycling bin that we keep inside, and fill up, before emptying it into the big, curb-side recycling bin. She started to just place whole boxes in the small bin, filling it instantly.

It was a calculated risk, but I asked her "you know, for someone who prides themselves in not being lazy, and being neat and tidy, isn't this a little lazy and unorganized?" She was fuming, but it has resulted in less boxes for me to break down, lol.

Yeah, the talk still hasn’t worked on her. Just took the recycling to the dumpster and had an extra 15 mins padded onto it breaking down her boxes.

I gave up the cardboard box fight years ago. I just absorbed it, it's now part of my weekly trash cycle when I stuff our garbage cans with all the trash that was collected from the various cans right before trash night.

I'm pretty sure wives purposefully leave vehicles empty and then refuse to drive them for the express purpose of letting the husband fill it up!

For some reason I was getting Ash confused with Wilcox. I'm glad we're not getting that guy, he REALLY wishes the camera wasn't on.

Pretty sure that's Shooter McGavin.
