I'm not against not rushing the field against certain situations, but having the ND hierarchy actively preventing it even against "big" opponents is just absurd.

I'm going to catch flak for this, but rushing the field against UTAH is really weak (and IDC if it was senior night). It just shows how down we've been in the last 10 years.
I don't remember if the field was actually 'rushed' in the sense that I'm thinking of it (so if it wasn't, treat my premise as a hypothetical... rushing the field against #12 Utah is WEAK).
Its good it doesn't happen here. It is a liability for the university and players.
Dude, that was my senior night. The class of 2011 has the WORST RECORD IN NOTRE DAME HISTORY. That season was full of turmoil and tragedy. The football team needed that, our Senior class needed that, and the school needed that.
Weak my ***.
I'm pissed.

I was surprised they didn't rush the field at the Blue & Gold Game.
I'm rushing the field if we beat Stanford at home.
I understand the team was down and that was the year of the Sullivan tragedy (right?), but it was UTAH (who just came off of a 40-point beating). And apparently they didn't actually rush it as we view 'rushing the field', so it's moot.
Sorry about that rant. Kuehnja, nothing personal at all bro. I just get defensive about that season.
It's Notre Dame. Who in the hell could we beat that would be that amazing?........ I don't believe there's anyone we can't beat, so I would be a little embarrassed by that.
I want to rush if we beat stanford (and both are undefeated). That would be the biggest win in the best 10 years (or so >_>).

florida state in 1993 would have been one of those games (but i dont think the field was rushed then either, cant remember)

There may be a rule/fine but I've never heard mention of it.
Bearman v. Notre Dame mentioned in my previous posts does apply exposure to all schools, legally.
N.B. For the record I'm neither an attorney nor have I played one.
