He'll be out of a job if he strikes out on CB commits two years in a row. That simple...

Haha, we won't be signing 0 CB's this cycle, I really hope you don't think we will. They have now worked out a ton of CB's to find ones they like, and we haven't even had one OV take place yet. Patience and a reality check are needed.

If we are paying attention, it's a completely different process with a very hands on DC leading the charge. If ND wanted to, today, they could get verbal commitments from at least a few CB's.

i dont think anyone just came out from under a rock or actually thinks we'll go two straight years with no CB, however no one thought we would go 1 cycle with no CB. Regardless, it isn't a discussion at all if it already hadnt happened and we arent ~45% through the next cycle with zero commits.

your posts tone just didnt really jive with the actual facts. the reality check is that CB recruiting is poor and people have a reason to be concerned about it. Working out some guys and no OV's doesn't do anything to calm those concerns, because as I pointed out, been there done that, got nothing, still have nothing.

I also don't think "we could have verbals if we wanted" makes anyone feel any better. That implies they probably arent that quality of a player and how would taking their commitments make the recruitment of the position any better?

Why I do believe this staff is going to find some quality corners, it certainly looks really bad to be end of June, no commitments, our "most likely" CB recruit has us in his top 2, but is openly requesting further offers and taking other visits. Maybe im just looking at a different painting than you are tho, cuz im not paying attention or something.

has Tee used up all his eligibility yet?

could be a transfer option late in the cycle.

I'm gonna predict that we get 2 commits this week: Donte Burton and Tommy Tremble. If they give McKenzie the green light, then I think we get 3.

Funny to see (for now) that Alabama is sitting at 51st with only 6 commits with -0- 5* thus far. I wonder how long they thrust themselves into the top 5 again.

I posted an article several weeks back on this. Losing Kiffin couldn't have had that big of an impact considering Saban was raking them in prior to Kiffin joining. I wonder what Saban has up his sleeves?

From early reports I don't think they gave McKenzie the green light.

I think I read he has to wait for SAT/ACT scores but I don't know if that's a fact. I think he visit is today so I guess we'll find out more this week.

I don't know that they'll give McKenzie the green light. Hopefully Burton pops, and then Tremble.

Kevin Austin shouldn't be too far behind. Believe he'll decide before the season starts. Sounds like Simon and Oweh are getting close to wrapping up their recruitments.

Hopefully this McKenzie doesn't end up like the last one that tried to commit...

No way, that McKenzie's thread was pure gold. Probably one of the top ten of all time on this board.
