Last of Us 2 dropping soon. Praying its not as big of a let down as Fallout 76 was.

I'm still shell shocked with how awful that game was.

Got Diablo on the switch,... pretty fun game that the girl and I all play together.

I’ve been playing NHL’s Be a Pro mode like crazy,... super fun.

Still early into Death Stranding. This game is weird, even for Kojima. I'm not sure how I feel about the actual story in the game, seems thrown together some to make commentary about social media and society today. However, the gameplay and graphics are fantastic and it's surprisingly not boring being some porter.

I tell myself this is a good sign, though. Where most other studios are beholden to release schedules created by corporate bureaucrats with spreadsheets who don't care whether a game is ready, CD Projekt Red knows what they have here and are ensuring it's the work of art we're all expecting.

I agree, I just wish they hadn't acted so confident in the September date. 2020 delivering constant body blows at this point.

I don't think that's likely. They are committed to putting it out on both generations, and have already said that all versions will automatically upgrade. There's not much incentive financially to time anything with the new systems.

I thought maybe now that PS5 has had it's 'reveal,' they might need to adjust something based on the dev kit they were working in if it got dumbed down for the masses or something like that, but I don't know anything about programming and development, so that might not even be a reasonable scenario.

Steam Sale is going on right now through July 9th! Tons of games for sale.

I picked up Kingdoms and Castles which is getting Overwhelmingly Positive reviews for about $7.
I also got Need for Speed: Heat for $27, which is about $20 more than I wanted to spend on any EA title but I've been really jonesin' for a car game where I can customize and race cars lately...and Gran Turismo dropped the ball there in the last installment with GT Sport.
Lastly, I finally got Hollow Knight, another steal at $7.50.

Haven't played any of these yet, but will probably fire up Hollow Knight first once I have some free time.

It was like Jurassic Park on SNES,... good game with one glaring, game killing flaw. Where Jurassic Park didn’t allow any saves, Base Wars did not let you simulate any cpu games in season mode like literally every other sports game ever made. So you had to play or watch EVERY SINGLE FREAKIN GAME, even those not controlled by you. Single games were cool but the game was at its best in season where you had to maintain your bots and had the chance to upgrade them, but then you had to play all the other games too,...

Not only is Curse of the Moon 2 a thing (I didn’t know that was a thing until just now),... and,... ITS ALREADY OUT!!!!!!!

Finished up another run through The Witcher 3. New Game + on Death March with a full Signs build. Other than the Signs build, there were two interesting firsts for me: (1) I rushed the main quest line to unlock the expansions ASAP so I could finish the last three achievements I still needed (I Wore Ofieri Before It Was Cool, When It's Many Against One, and David & Golyat); and (2) I power-leveled up to level 93 at Mont Crane Castle so I could upgrade my armor enough to survive the fights in Scenes From a Marriage.

Some people apparently do (1) and (2) to get into a Grandmaster set quickly, then return to Velen, turn on enemy upscaling, and enjoy the rest of the game with a full build. I can see the appeal.

I still need to finish the first game, I left the first right at the finish line based on information about the ending that I spoiled for myself. Aside from the final boss, there were still some optional bosses I had to beat and I got utterly humiliated the first time I tried the 8 bit wing so I have to go back and knock that out.

The first is one of the better 8 bit games I’ve played,... it was one of those you had to beat different ways to get the real ending.

The last of us 2, pretty far into it I think. Having a hard time with the story, it’s just so drastically different then I thought it was going to be.

Graphics and gameplay though are about as good as it gets on current gen systems

Read someone describe it as "the Schindler's List of video games." Very well done, but with an intentionally painful storyline that you won't want to ever sit through again.

Yeah it’s pretty brutal,I get what they’re trying to do story wise it’s just not sticking compared to the first one.
