What video game are you playing?

I don't think it's possible at this point with the base game. You'd have to get a season pass to get all of it, which is still (inexplicably) $50.

You'd be better off trading in your current copy and rebuying the Ultimate Edition lol

Mine included the season pass for BF1 DLC for free.
It included Death Star, Bespin, Scarif, and Outer Rim maps. Not sure what other DLC wasnt in the original release though. Maybe it was the Ultimate edition? IDK.

Has anyone played the most current Madden or NHL??... thoughts?

I haven't played NHL in a number of years but there was a time when that was one of my favorite games and I'm thinking of going back to Madden for the first time in a while too... see if its as easy to get away with cheating ion the virtual NFL as it is in the real one....

For any of you that have been keeping up with this, Call of Duty: WWII was a horribly kept secret and was rumored to be the new CoD in 2017 for a little over a month now. Well, today it finally became official.

Call of Duty has been, by far, my favorite video game growing up. So if you're like me, seeing them go back to World War II gives you a sense of relief. They had gotten into this pretty big slump where the game had lost its touch for the last 3-4 years. For me, CoD: Infinite Warfare really pissed me off as it was just a pretty shitty game. I hated how they took the game to space, wall running, being able to jump super high, etc.. So it is nice to see them (Activision) go back to the roots of Call of Duty; CoD: World at War, CoD: Modern Warfare (1 and 2), and CoD: Black Ops were really good games.

I'm really hoping they hit this game out of the park. It has so much potential to be one of the greats. Go back to the roots where the shitty players didn't have wall running, extra high jumping, and over powered kill streaks to make them look good.

I'll be impatiently waiting for the reveal trailer in a couple days. I MISS PWNING NOOBS!

Modern Warfare was good for me, but the future warfare was too much.

After last years shit show, I was giving CoD one more chance because I was tired of wasting my money. I'm glad they are going this route.

reasons number 63 why online gaming sucks

That's why I really enjoyed Halo 3. Even though I'm a PS fanboy, I loved the fact that there were no perks for playing longer. Everyone started with the same gun (or choice of the other gun), and all other guns, grenades, etc. were on the map to be picked up freely. Granted some people would find ways to spawn camp and other shitty online stuff, but you didn't get better stuff based on hours logged.

I liked MW 1 and 2, but it's just bad now...

I'm mildly interested in CODWW2... depends on where they go with it... if there is a Normandy to Berlin style campaign... I'm in.

Real talk tho, Medal of Honor: Frontline was the GOAT.

10 year old me was traumatized by the German officer shooting the POW paratrooper in the Normandy town.

Also during Market Garden the Paratrooper who gets stuck in the tree.... he gets shot. And pour one out for the British soldiers getting their ass whooped in Arnhem as well.

Great soundtrack on that game. Lit.

Medal of Honor Rising Sun was my jam, and my first real shooter. Think it came out just before or during my freshman year in high school.

Then I got into Halo 2 and Halo 3 when I got my XBox 360, and forgot about anything else until CoD:MW2.

Modern Warfare 2 was online multiplayer perfected, IMO. Perfect balance of perks and killstreaks. Appropriate boosts via perks with appropriate counter measures available to other players, and appropriate difficulty/reward on the killstreak system. And having the "Tactical Nuke" goal sitting there was the perfect carrot-on-a-stick to keep people invested. The prestige system and individual weapon/attachment goals in unlocking new skins for guns (digital camo/gold or gtfo) was good too.

So much value from top-to-bottom in how they built that multiplayer system.

Someone help me out because I'm totally ignorant. Everyone bitched that Battlefront didn't have "space battles" and they're hyped that Battlefront 2 DOES have them. But Battlefront had the "fighter squadron" game mode, which was basically dogfights on a planet. In terms of gameplay, what's the difference between a space battle and a planet-based dogfight mode besides the fact that there's no ground to crash into?

Probably the involvement of objectives that involve destroying/flying around/landing in larger ships.

Plus, the setting is just so much more badass. I'd rather be flying around a Star Destroyer in space than some canyons on [planet]

This, but there's more to it than that. This is Star Wars, not Planet Wars. Space battles are an iconic part of the franchise, and honestly they're my favorite part of the franchise. I grew up on the game TIE Fighter, and to be honest I played that game before I had even seen the movies or knew what they were. That's where I first developed my love of the Star Wars universe. People want to be attacking the Death Star in space, or blowing up TIE Fighters while circling a Star Destroyer. I didn't entirely care for the arcade style shooting of BF, it was okay, but I prefer a more open 3D environment where you're not so confined (Especially vertically). I get that the small confines are to promote fighting, and the ship combat was one of the better modes BF had, but I'd still rather have a space based mode with capital ships.

It doesn't really matter though. I'm pretty heavy into the Star Wars Galaxies: Legends server right now, and the space combat in there is 100x better than BF. I can acquire parts and load out my ships again like I used to, not to mention you can fly 20x more ships and you get the opportunity to load out multi-person crafts like YT-1300s (Millenium Falcon) and Gunships. Ever since Sony shut down the original game I've been waiting for something to replace SWG. Star Citizen looked like it would come close, but who knows when that monster will ever see the light of day. I've really enjoyed SWG being back.

If I could get all the quarters back that I spent during my childhood on those two arcade games I could retire, I'm sure of it.
