What Happens When We Die

I've been thinking about this for a week or so (and I too was just wondering about BGIF in the last day or so) and then Killz started the where is BGIF thread, so here it is:

If some crazy chick stabs me to death tomorrow, how will anybody on here even know? Not to get too Brokebacky (I cite Shakedown for coining this phrase) on y'all, but I actually like some of y'all. I'll even go so far as to say I consider some of you friends (even though I've never met you), and (tear) I'm glad y'all are in my life.

But outside of IE, I don't think anybody even knows I frequent the site, let alone am a regular on it. It's almost like a secret world I have here.

And the reverse is true too-- I'd hate to just have one of you disappear one day, not knowing what ever happened to you or even if you're still out there.

Do I need to make an IE will or some shit?

I tried to take this serious... then I read this and just started laughing...

Anyway, my wife knows I have personal connections here... if I pass she'll def hit it up at some point to pass it along I'm sure... if we go together, you'll prob never hear about it...

hear this though, I'm such a creature of habit, if I ever just vanish for more than a month you can just about take it to the bank something bad happened.

A part of me did. It was killzed.

That's when this facade became too closely interrelated with my real life.

Now I no longer work for the government, in which a clearance issue doesn't exist. (Or weird haters.)

In all seriousness, accessing the online accounts of a Decedent is an area of growing concern among Estate Planning attorneys. I'd suggest: (1) creating an estate plan; and (2) keeping a reference page with your login/pw combos for important online accounts with it. Then you could just make a note next to the IE info that your Executor/ Trustee should log on and notify someone of your death.

Lol I've actually done this. My girlfriend asked me what she should do if I died and I told her:

1. Go to IE and tell them I died. Preferably use the picture of Doc Holiday in bed.
2. Delete my history.

I'm hoping that our "Protector of All ND Historical Knowledge" is just taking a break from IE eating what little time he and I have left. He stopped posting shortly after the girls finished their great BBall season, I believe. BGIF is their biggest fan on here, so it could have been a good time.

I'm 74, and BGIF is older than I. But shit happens so it's worth thinking a good thought towards The Holy Spirit that he's just on vacation, and is his wise old crusty self, ready to return during August camp to terrorize the ignorant.
