I binged Cobra Kai S4 one night last week too. I still enjoy it, although I was crazy into the movies as a kid in the 80s. Probably watched the first two on VHS a couple dozen times each as a kid. Really wanted to take karate classes back then, but closest dojo/teachers were too far from our town.

Spoilers from S4 and some assumptions about S5:
So following the tournament loss it looks like Johnny and Daniel will find a loophole to continue teaching karate by using surrogate teachers in Chozen and I'm assuming a reformed Kreese? I'm on board for Chozen, the S3 cameo was great. I'm not sold on a reformed Kreese right now...I get that they've been planting the seed for awhile, but I just don't see it. I don't think every character can be redeemable, and I don't think Kreese works that way. It'll be interesting to see them try it anyway. I expect Silver and a returning Barnes to head up Cobra Kai dojos. Silver really didn't work as a 2nd banana to Kreese, I was glad he made his swerve at the end and went all nuts.

Watched North Dakota State win their 9th title in 11 years.

Depressing that we can't get an invite to FBS. The struggle of being a flagship or land grant in the rural/low population states.
Your fanbase isn't represented in a metro TV market so you can get an invite to fbs.
You aren't in fertile recruiting grounds so no conference will overlook the lack of a bona fide metro.
Your fanbase gets bored playing against teacher colleges that are D1 for one reason and one only, BASKETBALL.

Also saw that The Godfather 3 - Coda, The Death of Michael Corleone is now on Showtime.

I watched it when it came out, and enjoyed some of the changes, but overall not a huge deal. I know some were down on part 3, but I enjoyed even if it's not on the level of 1 and 2.

I finally watched this last night. I always thought Godfather III was poorly edited and seemed rather jumbled and incoherent, and some of the movie just doesn't make sense. This new edit fixes some of those problems and makes it easier to follow. It's still not in the same league with the first two and its plot is a bit contrived and murky, but it's worth the watch.

No amount of editing can fix Sofia Coppola's acting, though. I know it's SOP to dump on her for her acting in the film, but holy cow, she really is bad. I don't think I'd paid much attention the first time I saw it years ago, but when I watched it again last night I couldn't stop noticing just how bad she was. Watching her in one-on-one scenes with the great Pacino was just painful. I'm betting he was thinking of having her whacked or wishing her death could come earlier in the movie. My wife's comment on it was, "I do a better acting job than THAT when we're having sex."

Watched the first available episodes of 1883. It has it's moments, but doesn't come close to Yellowstone IMO.

Just finished watching the season finale of Yellowstone yesterday. A bit embellished, but I'm hooked.

For the past several years I have been going to a gas station that was recently purchased by a family from Mumbai. Great people... friendly and hard workers. The fella always asks me what I'm up to for the weekend and I usually replied, "I'm heading out to the ranch". A few weeks ago he tells me that he didn't know what a ranch was and that he had started watching Yellowstone. He asked if the ranch was like that? I replied, "Without all the sex and killing... pretty much".

Cheers and Go Irish!!

That was good. My wife never does that...I hope...

My wife was watching Jack and Jill the other night for who knows what reason. Had no idea Pacino was in that one. I wonder what they had to do to bribe him to take that part.

Season 2 of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. It's absolutely hilarious.

I just started watching Season 1 yesterday and I've watched the first six episodes already. Really good show. Tony Shalhoub is always great, and I've thought Rachel Brosnahan was hot since I first saw her in Manhattan. She's very funny and perfect for this role. It's better than I was expecting and I'm hooked.

I haven't but will put it on the list.

Just finished S1 of The Mayor of Kingstown" with Jeremy Renner. Very good. Done by Taylor Sheridan, same guy that does Yellowstone and 1883. Don't know if there will be a S2.

Ozark was back as of this weekend. Watched the first two episodes. Pretty good with a couple of new twists.

Ozark is really heating up. Got through E7 and find out the next 7 episodes aren't released yet. All speculation on a google search points to three or four months from now.

MoK was great I don't see how there isn't a season 2 but who knows. Renner is a busy guy and I'm sure his obligations to Disney take precedent.

Wife and I are watching the outsider,… the older I get the more I dislike Stephan King stuff and wonder how the hell he’s our most successful writer,… but so far this series doesn’t feel like something of his. Def worth a watch

Stephen King 1970-1990 was just so good I think he will go down as the best horror writer of all time.
99% of stuff he has done since is trash but that period was so good that I still buy everything he writes in the hope he is back to those times.
It is horrible to say but he needs to get back on drugs and alcohol as that seems to have been what fueled his brilliant imagination.

1883 is my favorite show in a while. Fascinated with the pioneer stories of westward expansion. Love the narration by Isabel May.

Hyped that Raised by Wolves S2 debuted yesterday. Watched E1 & E2 last night. Mother the Necromancer is such an interesting character. Production quality is A+ for a Sci-fi series.

Mayor of Kingtown was good too. I grew up in the shadow of Indiana's Big House. The prison's reach into the locals' lives is a very real thing. The industry/economy it produces is as a crooked as portrayed. I've spent the night in the warden's house inside the walls and I also used to take my friends into the ISP to play the prison teams in the late 80's, early 90's. Retired undefeated much to the delight of the Aryan Nation.

I'm holding off on Ozark until this summer when it's all out. Same with Billions.

I've been looking for something new and everyone raves about Euphoria. It's that good?
It goes into some pretty hardcore drugs, alcohol, college parties, etc. The show seems to have a ‘Game of Thrones’ obsession with wangs, so be prepared for that.

It’s one of the more darker dramas I’ve watched, if you’re into that type of stuff. Overall, very good.

Wasn't that impressed with the first two episodes, but since then it has gotten better and better IMO.

I see a movie on the horizon. Let's call it "The Longest Basket".

Enjoyed Reacher on Prime. It’s like David Puddy taking over for Tom Cruise.

The Outsider was good enough... didn't feel very Stephen Kingish in a good way.

I love the idea of the pioneer story as well. While I like the show, it seems like it may take 1,883 years to tell the story, as it's taken 5, 6 episodes to reach the Brazos River. At this rate, Sam Elliot will be dead in real life by the time they reach Kansas.

The last couple episodes have contained a lot of narration. I mean a lot. Like I'm attending a talk rather than watching a show.

At any rate, I still like it and will keep watching, but I'm a little bit on he the fence of how much more slack I can give it. I've been burnt too often by good shows that forfeited the story for desire of money and longevity (Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead, Ray Donovan, etc).

Loved Reacher! The wife and I knocked it out over the weekend. Can't wait for season 2. I was reluctant to watch, as I saw a trailer and wasn't impressed. My exact thought about it was, "Looks like a version of Puddy playing Reacher."
The Outsider was good enough... didn't feel very Stephen Kingish in a good way.
We watched it a year or 2 ago. The first couple episodes were fantastic! Then...I don't know. It devolved into some type of low-rent series usually seen on ScyFy or 1990's syndication.
