Got back today from a trip home for my sister's wedding. Brought back a few goodies I'll crack open later. Right now: Clown Shoes Very Angry Beast. Lots of chocolate flavor

Dillinger Brewing's Tiki Party Gose. Great lil brewery if you're ever in Tucson.

Thursday, I had a couple of local beers: Aloha Beer Company's "Waimanalo Farmhouse" is like a Belgian Ale and Waikiki Brewing Company's "English Brown Ale" is more similar to Samuel Smith than Newcastle. Both were good, especially with cigars.

Had some High West American Prairie on the golf course, this weekend. Not bad.

Also had some V. Sattui - Angelica. Ehh, not a huge fan. Got it as a gift, though, so can't complain.

I’ll try anything from a trusted brewer once but my initial reaction to the thought was not positive... not a much of a sparkling water fan.

Haven’t drank much lately but a few weeks back I had Kona’s Hanalei IPA. I typically don’t enjoy Kona too much but it was really good. Fruit came through just enough.

Had some stuff from NKY/CIN last night at a friend's. Against the Grain Blood Orange Lager, Rhinegeist Berliner Style Weisse etc

Pretty sure the 40 year old bottle of Ol' Grand-dad gets opened tomorrow

What are you drinking?

I always thought Sun King was crap, based on their widely distributed big 3 (Sunlight, Wee Mac, Osiris).

Went there last year, and was pleasantly surprised with their offerings. They make some really good beer, but it is all in house.

*maybe crap is too strong a term. Replace that with meh

Tried The Abyss - Rum Barrel Aged. Super thick stout with notes of plum and raisins. Not a drink for a hot summer day, that's for sure.

Y'all safe in Hawaii?

2017 Bourbon County Stout to commemorate the beginning of another fantasy season. I like this tradition

When I lived in Indy, I agreed with ya. The Cream Ale is good for a beer shower tho, and the Scotch Ale is actually really solid now that I've tried others. They had an Indian Baseball seasonal lager that I enjoyed back in 14, idk if it's still around though.

40 year old Old Grand-Dad = very good. Still have about 3 quarts left or so

Current 80 proof Old Grand-Dad = not good

We're good, man. Oahu escaped with no real issues. I've been on golf courses with more wind and rain than we ended up with. So very thankful for that.

What are y'all gonna have this weekend?

Central Market has 25% off all beer, so I'm filling up a growler on Saturday and picking up a few things to turn my brain off once ND is down 3 touchdowns.

What do you think, with a season opener, at home, against Michigan?

A lot!
