I'm with you... meh. I've given up on Sierra Nevada. Never had anything from them that was genuinely bad, but never had anything from them worth buying a second time either.

I like some SN beers in particular Celebration, Narwhal, Kellerweis, and Northern Hemisphere fresh hop. I am also excited to try their Hop Hunter IPA when it comes out. Having said that I don't think they are an amazing brewery but I think that they are a quality brewery.

Time zones are fun: I read this and thought,' maybe it'll taste better if tried after 8:00 am'...

Ha ha. I wasn't drinking it at the time, but the night before. There's a name for people who regularly drink before noon. I'm not quite there yet. I do like other Sierra Nevada beer, particularly the porter and Kellerweiss. The Nooner was just very dull.

Went to Founders Brewery yesterday and enjoyed Big Luscious. Very good. Chocolate flavor with fruit notes.

Have a Enjoy by that will be opened at kickoff. Also have Mr.Delicious-double IPA from arbor brewing. Also picked up another 6er of Space Rock from Shorts Brewing, probably my favorite beer right now.

The beers I have today for my friends and myself are Green Flash Soul Style IPA, SanTan Hop Shock IPA, Ballast Point Sculpin, Ballast Point Victory at Sea, Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier, Founders Imperial Stout and some New Belgium Fat Tire. Oh and I have 3 22oz bottles of Stone Enjoy By. Should keep everyone happy.

I have to say that I love drinking before noon. But off the top of my head there's only six reasons for it.

1- Christmas Day
2- First four days of March Madness
3- Golfing
4- Fishing
5- Camping
6- Early ND Football game

Maybe there's more, I dont know.

Today at my favorite tavern I had...
Shorts Carob Stout- nothing special
Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter- again nothing special
Green Flash IPA- delicious of course
Bells Hopslam- pretty good but I'm not sure I understand the love this beer gets

Definitely #6. I remember cracking a bottle of Redbreast at 9:45 am when the Irish kicked off against Navy in Dublin to start the 2012 season and loving it.

I was having some Black Bush at 6am that morning. Then some Baileys in my coffee at halftime.

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic line-up! Hangar's Pugachev's Cobra is the best RIS this side of Dark Lord and their Hammerhead Barleywine is the best thing I've had not made by 3 Floyd's.

FYI... The bar in Fountain Valley where the ND club of OC watches games has various Firestone Walkers on tap. I drank DBA all season last year. I've actually had a taster of that Velvet Merkin at the wait for it... Buffalo Wild Wings in Aliso Viejo. I opted for the Cismontaine 4th Ann. Dopplebock which has become another personal favorite.

The beer in LA/OC/SD is the best in the world.

Yes to this. There is place in Anaheim called Noble Ale Works that released limited edition hops beers and their Nelson Showers was one of the best IPAs I have ever had. It is sort of across the street from Angels stadium and I love what they are doing.

Anyways thanks for the heads up and cheers.
