Just put away a sixer of that last night and it was a pretty nice IPA. I'm an IPA man myself and I agree the finish is very nice!

I tried an IPA a few years ago in undergrad when all I was drinking was fratty light and hated the harshness of the IPA. A few years removed and my beer experience expanded, I figured I would try them again and now my taste buds are a huge fan.

Just ordered a Victory Hop Devil Ale at lunch. Another solid beer with a smooth finish.

There is a local beer down here that is brewed in Melbourne FL, by Florida Beer Co.. Swamp Ape IPA, it is amazing!! It is sold in 4 packs but I think that is due to the fact it is a 10.5%er.

Psh... 10.5%. No big deal. I'll throw back a dozen.

I was very impressed with the Victory beer I had today. How was the stout?

I like the Stout, but it does have some hops so it is a little different from most stouts. smells and flavors of whoppers (malted milkballs), cherries, citrus hops, roasted malts, coffee and milk chocolate. I will buy some more next winter.

Had Pliny The Elder a few weeks back. Pretty good and I'm not a big IPA person.

Pliny is top 5. Period.

You should take a trip to Nor Cal. sometime. The have it and Pliny the Younger on tap from time to time where I live. Anyhow, if anyone's ever in the San Francisco Noth Bay hit me up and I'll take you to a brew pub that's doing some of the best German style beers you're ever gonna have.

Vodka tonic. Used to be a scotch, whiskey, cognac guy. But I've been working out and lost like 15 to 20 lbs so far this year and have switched to light liquor only since new years because I was told it is better for you. Dark liquor is full of sugar. Is this true or does anyone know? Also, Bell's Oberon 2013 debuts tomorrow for those that care. My favorite beer for the summertime..

I don't always drink beer. But when I do it's Bell's Oberon!

I dont think that is true. Scotch has no sugar unless you are adding it to it. Distilled alcohol at 40% abv would have about 40 calories and no carbs (unless you add something to it afterwards).

I've taken my first tentative steps into the wide world of brandy recently. Picked up a bottle of Paul Masson VSOP; only $15/ bottle at Total Wine, but has gotten some very good ratings.

Enjoyed it both straight up and in a Brandy Old Fashioned. Will be mixing my first Side Car tonight.
