Turned 21 just about a month ago, and I've had some very good beer over that span.
I would say I'm a beer snob, considering I grew up in a craft beer bar owned by my parents which did not have one crap beer on tap (i.e.: Bud Light, Coors, etc.)
I went to Tampa about two weeks ago, and stumbled into the Tampa Brewing Company in the Ybor City district, just to find a decent beer after being served a Stella Artois in a pint glass and not a chalice as it is intended to be drank from. As I approach the bar, I notice the bartender pouring from a cask, which tripped my trigger immediately. I ask him what it is and he tells me it is their house IPA called Old Elephant Foot.
Now, normally I am not a hoppy beer fan, but the cask made this normally bitter beer into a great tasting easy to drink IPA. It was so good I had to buy a growler of it to send to my buddy and his father who are big IPA fans.
I also had the Warthog Hefeweizen, which was another house beer, and it was awesome as well. If you're ever in Tampa, check out this gem of a Microbrewery/Pub in the Centro Ybor square.
