Oskar Blues "Ten Fidy".

Daughter won an assorted beer basket at a raffle and I was all out of Guinness so she brought me up 4 of these. Was watching a movie with the wife and into my third when she asked me how much I had been drinking as I was starting to slur. Even with the benefit of the name, I had no idea these things were 10.5% abv. Very good beer! Cheers!

I thought Ten Fidy was the stout and Old Chub was the scotch ale?

Gah, you're right. I almost always have Old Chub in my fridge, so when I saw Oskar Blues I jumped right to that. Still recommended, though no idea if Greenore likes the style.

I have no style!!

We have a pretty decent selection of beers up here but supply seems to be rather inconsistent. I have not been able to source the Ten Fidy and have not seen any other offerings from Oskar Blues.

I went to the specialty store that supplied the beers for the raffle and the clerk told me that they had gathered a bunch of dead inventory and didn't stock it anymore. Can you believe that?

Will keep my eyes open for some of your recommendations, although I think you guys seem to prefer stronger styles. Cheers!

Ten Fidy is a great stout. Probably one of my top 2 favorite non-barrel aged stouts (Founders Imperial Stout being the other).

Any of you Indianapolis boys have suggestions for a good beer store in or near the city? I'll be with my son so can't go to a proper store (assuming Indy still has the law about minors in liquor stores).

Tonight it is a 32oz growler Borderlands Toole Ave Songle Hop Mosaic IPA.

Celebrating 2 years Catholic with some beer. ABW Warmonger Pale Ale. Solid, but unspectacular.

Firestone Walker Leo v. Ursus Fortem IIPA. This is very good. Loads of fruit (tangerine, pineapple, white grape, melon, peach), light malt and some nice piney bitterness.

Also bought a bottle of Parabola. I hate the change to 12oz bottles.

Have a growler of Troegs Farm House Rye in my fridge. Need to open that up sometime this weekend I hope. Will be going to Troegs tonight to enjoy their newest in the Splinter Series they do... Freaky Peach. It's an American Sour.

New brewery is opening in town today so will probably head there tonight or tomorrow to give it a try. They will have a brown ale and a ginger spice ale to start. Adding a honey basil ale and IPA soon.

I have had it, very good, better than the past few releases but not as good as the best Enjoy By releases.

That's good to know though. I'm getting some tonight and I had been somewhat disappointed by the last few releases I had tried.

Gah, you're right. I almost always have Old Chub in my fridge, so when I saw Oskar Blues I jumped right to that. Still recommended, though no idea if Greenore likes the style.

I shopped the city looking for "Ten Fidy" but no such luck. Shockingly, the clerk told me that he had some "Old Chub" in the back. Picked up a six pack. Very good stuff! I'm not a big fan of the Innis & Gunn offerings (boo hiss) and was concerned that the Oskar Blues might me similar. I was pleasantly surprised.

Very impressed with this brewery. Tried their pilsner a few weeks ago and it was very good too. Don't know what they are smoking in Colorado but it seems to be working. Cheers!

Just had a Dragoon West Coast IPA. :s::s: Never again.

Mesquite River Brewing's Way Off Camber Imperial Amber. :s::s::s::s::s: 9.2%
- For me, the best beer in Arizona by far and I'm a WCIPA fan.

MRB's Tucos' Summer Ale 5.4% Great. A better Mirror Pond with a hint of fruit. :s::s::s::s:

That Brewery's Batch 98 DIPA. Smoothest DIPA next to Hangar 24's Double Betty that I've ever had. :s::s::s::s: 1/2 8.3%. #2 beer in AZ for me.

If you ever get to Scottsdale, check out MRB's tasting room near Kierland.
