Green Flash West Coast IPA. One of the two best standard IPAs that are readily available (the other is Stone IPA).

Now Mission Carrack Imperial Red Ale.

Horny Goat Hopped Up 'N Horny IPA. Kinda meh, but I've had some beer already so maybe I'm not appreciating it the way I should be. Not sure if I would buy this again.

Still Life with Spuds.

It's all in the eye(s) of the beholder.

"Drink to me only with thine eyes."

The "eyes" have it.

En Vino Veritas.

"Spill the wine, take that pearl."

A loaf of bread, a jug of wine, and thou.

I had some Smuttynose Robust Porter last night. OK, but not great. For the price, Sierra Nevada's porter is better.

Last night I also had Bear Republic Red Rocket Ale.

Right now, Great Divide Titan IPA.

I tried Mt Gay Black Barrel and Extra Old today. I'm not much on rum, but this stuff was pretty good. It was a smooth sipper, straight with no training wheels. Rum makers are trying to position their higher end products in the same arena as higher end whiskey or tequila; good for drinking neat as opposed to mixing with soda or fruit juice.

Yesterday I had a Sierra Nevada Nooner Session IPA. I can say that this might be the worst beer I ever tasted (smelled and tasted like new plastic and rubber). I really hope that this one bottle was just skunked because it was horrific.

Today while cooking dinner I had a Sierra Nevada Snow Whit White IPA. Very drinkable and pretty good.

Now some Dogfish Head Burton Baton. Now this is a great beer. A perfect blend of an old ale and an Imperial IPA. Nice notes of citrus, vanilla, tropical fruits, and a touch of oak with a little butterscotch as well.

Sierra Nevada Blindfold Black IPA. Ok but more of a black ale than a black IPA.

I tried Allagash White. I saw it on tap somewhere, remembered that I heard good things about it, and ordered one. I had no idea what type of beer it was, so I was happily surprised at my blind jump. It reminded me of Hefeweizen, even though I think it's technically not one. Very refreshing on the rare, spring-like day we had yesterday.

Chipping away ice on my driveway on what is our second consecutive 40+ degree day. I'm having my second New Holland Dragon's Milk Stout. It's really, really good.

La Terrible by Unibroue

Thoughts? That's one of the few Unibroue beers I haven't tried yet.

Rated as one of the best Belgian Wits in the world. Would love to try it, but those bastards don't distribute to AZ.

La Terrible by Unibroue

I really enjoyed this beer. I first tasted it a a Mighigan Liquor Control Commission Party, and like all tastings I've been to I hung around at my favorite table a little too long. The La Terrible was my table that night. I ended up ordering a couple hundred dollars worth. Good memories.....
