Thoughts? That's one of the few Unibroue beers I haven't tried yet.

Real good. Unibroue knows their Belgian Strong Darks. If you like the style (and I think you do!), try it. I've only had a few of their beers but the ones ive had, have been top drawer. The fruits are very prevalent in this beer and at 10.5 abv, packs a punch.

I really enjoyed this beer. I first tasted it a a Mighigan Liquor Control Commission Party, and like all tastings I've been to I hung around at my favorite table a little too long. The La Terrible was my table that night. I ended up ordering a couple hundred dollars worth. Good memories.....

I would love to see what a couple hundred dollars of La Terrible looks like!

whatever I'm drinking, it's not enough. dealing with the 2 fat ass "peers" (ha-that's a joke) and the incompetent boss - plus the fact my phone screen cracked today-I'm deep in the bottle.

I got in some Breuckelen Distillery's 77 Rye & Corn whiskey for an event. It's 85% rye and 15% corn, so the rough edges of the rye get smoothed off by the corn. It's not a home run, just good, smooth-sipping whiskey. But I like to support these smaller distilleries that are doing some good work.

Franciscan Well Red Ale, its a small indie brewery from Cork served in a proper stein glass, pretty good!

Haha, it looks pretty awesome. I've been known to do that with good beer because I'm afraid it'll sell out and I'll never see it again. When we first got Rogue I bought four cases of 22s for that same reason. That was 15 years ago and we still have Rogue, haha.

Leaving for a business trip to Nor. Cal. here in about an hour. I'll be looking out for SUCKS while I'm there, it's just impossible to get down here and I'm done hearing about it.

:)

We shall see.

Just trusted the wife to get some beer. Told her "just ask the guy for a good IPA." She comes home with a sixer of Sam Adams Rebel IPA. He needs his ass kicked....

Had a Green Flash West Coast IPA on tap in SoCal today. Just so nice.

Followed it up with a Clown Shoes Galactica IPA. Not from the area, but a tremendous beer, nonetheless.

Where in SoCal?

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale after having moved into the new house today.

Wine, for the first (and hopefully) last time ever. It was all that's left in the fridge.

I really like wine (particularly reds), I just find it hard to rationalize spending $30+ on a bottle on a regular basis as the bottle usually only lasts one night.

Stone Go To IPA. It is a session IPA at 4.5%. Great nose of tropical fruits (mango, pineapple), citrus (grapefruit) and tangerine. The taste starts on grapefruit and a slight tropical fruit note before it gets completely washed out by grapefruit bitterness. Very bitter. Overall it is a pretty good beer but not worth paying $9 for a 6 pack (the same as their regular IPA which is very good).

Thanks PKT. I've been on the lookout for this beer lately but haven't had any success yet.

By the way. ..the unibroue 17 is great. Kind of expensive but I'm a fan.

Lagunitas Day Time IPA. Another session IPA at 4.65% (I have had this one before). An enjoyable session IPA that tastes slightly watery after the Stone.
