I was thinking maybe if he is upset at U$C for the way Kiffin handled the EE thing, he might just be setting them up by saying he excited for his USC visit. Get their hopes up, then crush them by committing to ND.

But that's just my total nd homer view.

Let's hope. Welcome to IE.

Looks like USC on the 18th, ND on the 25th... and then Bama on Feb 1st? Didn't know you could take a visit that weekend.

No I know, but shouldn't that mean you should go by the words of the guys actually reading the articles rather than third and fourth hand info, instead of disputing it lol? Philley was right to begin with. Could have been left at that my man.

Either way, I think we all can agree we don't want that visit ever taking place. USC is still the main competition, but Bama visits scare me, especially for elite D-linemen.

I did! Lol.

Don't want to keep picking nits, because I can see the confusion, but Clashmore Mike's post directly below that one states he was trying to set it up, not that it was scheduled. Not to mention Philly and I both stating as such in this thread.

Let's move on broski.

Gotcha, thanks. Getting really excited for that the 25th, as it sounds a lot of USC commits/prospects maybe visiting. Will be a good day.

Yup. Could be the weekend we, for all intents and purposes, complete our class.

I think it has the potential to be more than that, to be honest. Having a successful weekend with recruits that were USC leans/commits (in addition to Redfield) could impact our future positively well beyond the 2013 class.. or maybe not, I'm a half full type guy. I, too am very excited for the 25th.. I'm certain you've already thought of this as well, but I don't think it can be overstated

What's the latest on Issac? Any chance he comes that weekend?

Yes there is a chance, and that is the weekend we would most likely come. It just hasn't been confirmed to any of the sites that he is coming yet.

Also, I'd imagine we'll probably be hearing more updates across the board on recruiting with Kelly's situation finalized and the dead period ending. Would be surprised if we don't see a tunnel vision tomorrow with a lot of updates.

There's an article on Rivals that says Vanderdoes doesn't have a visit planned to Bama, but that he WILL take one even if it has to be a midweek visit.

They just got Tim Williams and will pick up Dee Liner. They have to be running out of space.

IMO he won't ever make the Bama visit.

I tend to feel that way as well. I do think there needs to be some type of communication prior to the USC visit given that Kiffy can sell ice to an eskimo, but given his shenanigans of late I think EV will not recommit to them on his visit.

The thing I hope kids take into consideration when choosing schools is worst case and best case scenario.

Right now we are discussing recruits looking at depth charts. While its true, players like EV would probably not need to worry so much about depth charts since they are studs, I would caution kids to think worst case scenario.

Worst case scenario: Career ending injury.

Blow your knee out and get a Notre Dame degree.

Blow your knee out and get cut loose from Bama.

What position would you rather put yourself in?
