Oh, and keeping with my reputation and assigned moniker as "grammar hammer," you're thread title should be "to" rather than "too."

Just sayin'.

I've been an on Alt-J binge for about two months now. All of you would hate them. But yeah, that's what I've been listening to. Many regard their album as the best one of 2012.

I like them well enough. Not a huge fan though. Their album I would say would be around 20 or 21 if I were to list the albums I've listened to from 2012.

I've been observing a period of mourning since the NCG game. I'm hoping that my timing was about right in returning to my usual wise-arse role.

I didn't want to pour salt on our collective wounds.

Tonight it is All Along the Watchtower. Dave Matthews Band, Hendrix, Hodges, Pearl Jam, and Bob Dylan.

A great song and an excellent list of those who have performed it.

Dylan may have a sh¡tty voice, but he sure as hell can write and compose ...

This has me depressed. I've definitely lost my edge as a nouveau outlier.

Aging has its advantages and disadvantages.

Can someone erase 40 years while leaving my musical sensibilities intact???

Embarrassed to say I've never listened to Wilco. I have rediscovered country the last year so will need to check it out. Getting ready to throw in a little mix of Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Luke Bryan, and Jake Owen. Can't wait till Aldean/Bryan/Owen concert "between the hedges" here in a few monts.

My favorite Aldean.

I don't listen to much of anything that comes out of any of the big Nashville labels. "They built music city by sacrificing soul"-Waylon Jennings Jr.
I listen to a ton of independent country, alt-country, roots rock, etc. type groups though.

Ah,,, so good. Now back to FUNK

Just as a little bit o' soul will set you right:

"Little Bit O' Soul" - The Little Darlings (ORIGINAL VERSION 1965) - YouTube

The Music Explosion - Little Bit O'Soul - YouTube

Springsteen - Little Bit O Soul - The Spectrum October 13, 2009 - YouTube

Funk will set your feet free and your whole body fluid. There are too many examples and links for me to elaborate.

A lot of people on this board need to refresh the soul I think. Tough week. Might have to break out the Sam Cooke and Al Green.

If you don't mind, give me your top 10 recommendations in that space when you have time. Love me some Waylon, and yes, I agree with him to an extent. I think he'd be proud of Aldean and Church though. Especially Church.

In keeping with restoring the soul and (possibly) reflecting the feelings of many here after the NCG and moving forward with regard to ND:
