IMO a lot of this goes back to playing with BW the first three games. BW hesitates on some throws, starts moving in the pocket, decides to throw when it's too late or scrambles. Hard to get into a rhythm and learn the soft spots when there's no consistency from the QB.
Well, I don't how that would matter, since we saw the issue with this last weekend. Hence the "teaching" moment BK gave to Finke after the play.
The soft spot of the zone is dependent on the coverage from the DB/LB's. Just like any position, WR's should go into each week understanding the types of zone coverage they might see. Recognize it as such and run the route accordingly. WR's are certainly tasked with running routes based on coverage.
Outside checks at the LOS into different plays or trying to manipulate the coverage with physical motion like eyes, ball fakes, etc. Not sure how much of that falls on the QB.
