LMFAO how is that possible!!!!!!!!!! His whole rationale was sickness in the family YET HE MOVED AWAY FROM THEIR FAMILY!!!!!

Actually, his grandfather is the one who is sick, and they are from Palmdale, CA, which is about an hour from USC.

If Carlisle got his waiver, we can't complain about Shaw getting it.

Never thought Carlisle should've gotten his waiver.

And wow, you're totally right. I have no idea where I read/heard that his family was all in Florida. This makes so much more sense now.

LA you will have to let us know how that goes.

2 reasons that will not happen:

1. I've been in South Bend for 3 days, flying back tonight, and I miss my baby daughter like crazy. So tomorrow is daddy-daughter time.

2. And if it was a real spring game, I might take my daughter with me (at 6 months old, she loves watching the bball games I coach). But no tackling????? Eff that, I wouldn't waste my time. Last year's game was bad enough w/ Kiffy in the huddle for every play, telling guys where to line up and everything. But this year's 'game' sounds absolutely awful. No thanks.

Josh Shaw got a waiver to play this year so they can't bitch about Amir anymore.

No, they're still bitching. They're ripping ND, South Bend, and anything else associated with the Irish. I just hope Kiffin keeps this no tackling thing going through the season. They'll lose their sharpness just like they did 2 years ago. Of course, they're much more talented now, but that lack of sharpness will lead to missed tackles and fumbles against the wrong opponent - hopefully that will be us.

And if they do start to tackle in practice next fall, their 75 could turn to 70 to 65 real quick. It's quite the conundrum...

Guys, USC is beatable. With or without Barkley. Last year we should of and could have beaten them. Last year ND lost the game, I was there. Kelly was beside himself on the sidelines. That is when I first saw the schism of the coaching staff. Kelly on the phones offensively, versus defensively. The way Kelly related to Hinton, Warriner and Molner; the die was cast. No excuses, but that whole game was an ND breakdown. Even with travelling, don't expect the same this year.

BTW, incredibly well thought out and executed exit strategy if I've ever seen one.

Where is USC making room for all these schollies?

They took 16 total players last year... 3 of which can be counted as EEs... and they might have a non-qualifier or two. What this means is that they have up to 2 open scholarships in last year's class. If they can get Tee enrolled by fall, they will still have up to 1 open scholarship... meaning they'll be able to take up 16 total players (with 1 EE counting towards 2012) in this 2013 class.

With all of that being said.... they're still teetering very close to or just above their 75 scholarship players even after their rash of injury prone and legitimate transfers..... so who knows what's going to happen with that number. They might have to cut another kid or two if Tee signs up to play.

Wait, I'm confused. What's your logic here? Because he wants to go to USC, he doesn't have a medical condition?

No. If he has already been cleared to begin workouts...how serious could it have been for him to need to leave ND permanently. It is beyond obvious that after his cousin went to Houston he didn't want to be at ND anymore

We set the mark with Armond.

I guess we'll see if SC has the nuts to follow suit...

I'm not arguing that he didn't want to be here, but your logic isn't really sound. Armstead was cleared to play by doctors too, but he wasn't going to be cleared to play by ND's doctors.
