Yeah, Leinart has a pretty big social media presence but has kept his mouth shut here. Can't imagine most former players are psyched about this.Where are the former Trojan players at? Why aren’t they speaking out and rallying to keep the game? Just a sad, cowardly state of affairs out west.
Never beg someone to want you. If USC wants to move on, fuck 'em.
I think Su Cravens tweeted about itWhere are the former Trojan players at? Why aren’t they speaking out and rallying to keep the game? Just a sad, cowardly state of affairs out west.
ND didn’t land in the Thanksgiving weekend until the late 60’s. They played out there the first weekend of Dec to finish the even seasons while UCLA was TDay weekend. No need for ND to bend to usc and play in Sept. The game has been played as is for a 100 years no need to change it
They can move the LA game to the first week of Dec then, works out better for me to make the game too.ND didn’t land in the Thanksgiving weekend until the late 60’s. They played out there the first weekend of Dec to finish the even seasons while UCLA was TDay weekend.
On the flip side, SC played at ND on Thanksgiving for the first 5 decades.
I just want them to keep playing regardless of the date cuz it’s an easy 6 hour drive for me with free lodging. Lock me up an ASU home/away series and SC can kick rocks.
Pre-Lincoln Riley: I'd always pull for USC to be 11-1 with a loss to Notre Dame & Michigan to go 0-12.Has F@ck USC surpassed F@ck Michigan?
No Clemson doesn't move the needle, fuck uscGuys it's very simple...... We're not little brother anymore. If this was still the Pete Carroll USC this wouldn't even be a discussion. They'd have no issue keeping us on the schedule. Facts are now it's competitive and they got a bunch of pretty boys not tough or physical enough to come to Indiana in October and deal with a night game in Midwest fall weather. If they want out fine..... It's a cool rivalry but I know we can find anybody to fill in the schedule and be good to go. The Clemson thing is perfect in all honesty. They're more competitive IMO anyway

Yeah. USC is a century-old rivalry with a fellow blue blood that is one of the other most-nationally-popular major programs around. They are a worthy peer.Yeah I'll agree that Clemson just doesn't get me going at all. I think they've been a useful measuring stick to see where we are at in the landscape, and we want to beat them for that reason, but there's no gut hate there. I hate Louisville way more than Clemson because I think they're dirty as hell.
School wise, Clemson is starting to become a national school. They are recruiting hard in the Midwest. I’m starting to see an uptick in the amount of Good Luck at Clemson next year type signs around my area of Ohio.Yeah. Clemson is a regional school (not in our region) that yes has been very good over the last decade but could easily recede to their traditional mid status at any time. They are not the same.
Ironically, starting a rivalry with a school like ND is the one thing that Clemson can do to try and elevate their status.Yeah. USC is a century-old rivalry with a fellow blue blood that is one of the other most-nationally-popular major programs around. They are a worthy peer.

Clemson has been a pretty good football school for several decades. Not a blue blood obviously but let's not talk about them like they are Iowa or Kansas State or something.Yeah. I would absolutely take a Miami long term series.Yeah I'll agree that Clemson just doesn't get me going at all. So you are saying there is a little noblesse oblige going on here.Ironically, starting a rivalry with a school like ND is the one thing that Clemson can do to try and elevate their status.
Fair. I live in Massachusetts and struck by how many kids from the Boston suburbs lately seem to go to Clemson (and other southern state schools with big-time sports). Maybe this is a long play to develop closer ties to the next generation of national schools. But still. They are not USC, and I don't think we'd be doing it if we didn't feel USC backing away.School wise, Clemson is starting to become a national school. They are recruiting hard in the Midwest. This site shows with an enrollment of 29K, about 15% of their students come from the north.Fair. Brutal, Scathing, and 100% on target...
