Tate Martell transferring in 3,2,1...

He should transfer back home to SoCal and hook up with Chip. Leave OSU in a hole for a year waiting on their new toy.

Of course Field's will probably be eligible immediately because someone called him a bad word and he was in fear for his life at UGA.

Fields is absolutely gonna be eligible right away. No one from UGA is gonna want the PR hit they’ll take for fighting his waiver request (or to hear the issue catch a national news cycle), and no one at the NCAA will want that can of worms opened, either.

The only potential hiccup is that his sister felt comfortable enough to enroll AFTER the incident.

This transfer will be the straw that breaks the camels back in college transfers.

But a good academic young man like Gilman got screwed.

What reason would he have to get a waiver...other than not being associated with ND, that is?

There was that incident where a Georgia baseball player shouted racist obscenities at him and he can say that he wants to play baseball now (he actually is a very good player) but wouldn't feel comfortable doing it at Georgia even if they player is off the team because others on the team might feel the same or be resentful the other play got kicked off.

I agree with you 100% but it begs the question, “If your son was so traumatized by a racial slur hurled at him by a fellow student-athlete, why in the world would you allow your daughter to commit to that same school as a student-athlete?” But you’re correct, the NCAA & UGA will punt & support immediate eligiblity to avoid that PR can of worms.

Which in effect, is discrimination in itself. A Caucasian player would not be afforded the same luxury.

So what is next...a Republican player wanting to transfer because Dem students jeered him?

All jokes aside I would not turn him down if he wanted in as a quarterback. Kid is a player.

the more I read about these transfers, the more I thing BW ends up in a similar positon to Zaire where he isn't gifted the starting spot at a P5 school. Really interested to see where he lands

Zaire wasn't 15-2 (or whatever) as a starter. BW should be able to find somewhere to play.

Take your pick schools who can’t develop a QB!

1. Jalen Hurts
2. Brandon Wimbush
3. Tate Martell
4. Shane Buechele

5. Ty Storey

Storey was one of the worst Power 5 QB's in America as a RS JR. If he can play well at Arkansas, he's going to go down to Group of 5 probably. A lot of schools will be after the top 4. I think the QB's should be making their decisions really soon because they have to enroll in January to compete for the starting job and pick up the new offense.

After having his suspension lifted by USC and being allowed to register for spring classes, Bubba Bolden has decided to transfer to Miami instead.

Don't blame him, he never wanted to be there in the first place and USC did the kid dirty.

damn, austin kendall qb for sooners transferring

Kyler back?

Shot it the dark, Mason Fine to OU? He originally said he’s transferring then said he’s not. Would a new opportunity like that sway him again?

Their has to be another ripple here. Rattler is good but not veteran QB transferring ahead of time good.

Some of you touched on this earlier, its time to start just referring to this at CFB's free agency period.

yup. i just wish they would change the rules to make it easier, or more cut and dry. something like, any one can transfer without sitting out after two full years and limit transferring to once. i know it creates some chaos, but also gives kids a shot to play, not only down program, but also up program as well.

A little surprised their OT is leaving, but given who they have coming in (5 star Wanya Morris), his days are probably numbered as starting RT. Not surprised at all that Wolf is leaving. He got passed by a true freshman (Wood-Anderson) this year.

Hurts to commits to OU. I think he'll light it up there. Could they possibly have 3 Heismans in a row??
