Maybe he found out that Jake Fromm is going to stay for a 4th year in 2020 but I think it’s a really stupid move. He won’t be the starting QB for a better program than Georgia that’s for sure. 100 schools will line up for him but he’s not taking over at Bama or Clemson so his move is dumb. Real dumb.

Sitting on the bench is dumb.

Agreed but he’s sitting out next season if he transfers and then he has to find a place where he’s guaranteed to start which isn’t too hard to find because he’s talented but any injury to Fromm and he’s quarterbacking a playoff team the next couple years. If Fromm keeps up this pace then he’ll be gone after next season. If he’s not draftable then it probably means that Fields has passed him up. Seems like he’ll be the starter at UGA in 2020.

most of it says "exploring" and "looking at other options".

he isn't going to play a lot next year IMO, so it's a wash either way.
if he's not feeling UGA, better to leave now as a true frosh.
this hurts UGA more than him. he'll have many great choices. UGA will scramble to find a QB. 2019's QB is a 90ish.

My bet, Miami or FSU. Maybe Clemson.

That will be enough to grant Fields a waiver based on hardship... no one at UGA or the NCAA is going to take the publicity hit to try and stop it.

He can then go to Oklahoma or Ohio State and be the next big thing.

He's gonna be eligible, and almost any school not named Clemson or Alabama will take him.

Dwayne Haskins has to leave. It is hard to have a great season in college football. It is really hard to do it in back to back seasons and it is even harder to have the type of season that he just had. His stock will never be higher than it is right now.

I remember a Captain Tuttle. Was a heck of a guy. Gave 14 months of pay to an orphanage.

I remember a drivers ed teacher named Mr. Tuttle, that let kids drive golf carts down the hallways at Bayside High, until the star player on the football team ran into a locker that fell on the hottest cheerleader, injuring her.

Turns out it was all a ruse by the class clown/opportunist to sabotage the football players chances of receiving a drivers license before he did.
