Seemed like a good kid. Been in the works since Lane was announced. Evidently, LDR didn't care much for him since he didn't recruit him out of high school. Either way, I hope the kid makes it wherever he lands... Oregon State getting some of the mention on that.

I would think Morris and Sims battle it out. If Coker enrolls in the fall, he would probably be the QB in due tiime. Bateman doesn't appear to have the arm strength to challenge.

Was checking out your schedule for next year. Perfectly timed bye weeks before Ole Miss, LSU, and essentially a bye (Western Carolina) before Auburn. Going to be real interesting watching Bama next year with a new QB and Kiffin. I can't imagine you guys losing to anyone other than those three teams.

Was checking out your schedule for next year. Perfectly timed bye weeks before Ole Miss, LSU, and essentially a bye (Western Carolina) before Auburn. Going to be real interesting watching Bama next year with a new QB and Kiffin. I can't imagine you guys losing to anyone other than those three teams.

The QB slot is a concern as is the CB positions. Shore them two areas up... and keep Wonder Boy in check... and we should be ok.

But Bama doesn't schedule bye weeks. The conference does. And remember, the rules on bye weeks were changed 3-4 years ago because for one or two years every SEC team Bama faced had bye weeks prior to their game with Bama. If the other coaches would line up with Saban and schedule the ninth conference game, some of the bye week nonsense would disappear.

I thought Tuberville was kind of on his way out the door already, and not of his own accord? Also, Cincinnati is much closer to home for Tuberville's wife, who is from Indiana. A lot of people locally in Cincy think it was just so Tubberville could finish out his career at a decent program while also making his wife happy.

He'd had issues. Was suspended for the bowl game, and this is from an ESPN article about him

Kamara was relegated to the scout team in his first year on campus. He missed a week of practice in November and did not make an appearance against LSU because of "behavioral reasons," according to coach Nick Saban.

Kamara transferring is definitely no surprise. I was surprised when he signed, given how many other top RB's we already had or were signing last year. I don't know what his issues were, but he got in Saban's doghouse early on and stayed there.
