Probably due to one of the few bagmen that got spooked after that story came out.

Probably headed to Auburn. IIRC his parents are both Auburn grads and wanted him to attend there. "Coach of the Century" Chizik was slow to offer him his senior year even after it was known he would probably flip to Auburn if offered. He committed to FSU early his junior year before signing with Ole Mi$$ on a signing day flip. Word was his girlfriend got a band scholarship to the Grove and that's what lead him there. Guess the relationship didn't last. He is a solid player and his exit really hurts the Rebels. Wish him well wherever he ends up.

I guess we don't even need to say "Fuck Michigan" on this one!

Auburn Grads and Jumbo Shrimp are Oxymorons.

To make matters worse, Diaco is yet to get a verbal from the class of 15.

UVA's leading receiver from last year, TE Jake McGee, will graduate in May and transfer.

I wonder if he has interest in ND. I wouldn't hate having another pass catching TE come in for one year

That makes a ton of sense. We are light at TE, with only Koyack and Smythe apparently ready to contribute, since Heuerman is still a toothpick. True, we have two 2014 frosh coming in, Luatua and Weishar, but you never want to have to rely on incoming frosh who may or may not be physically ready. Weishar probably won't be; Luatua could be but it depends on how diligent he is in off-season workouts. If we were to get a grad transfer, he could give TE depth a big boost.

I tried finding what his current major is, but can't seem to find anything. Anybody know?

He's also played a lot of teams on our schedule now that we have an ACC slate. I really hope our staff pursues him.

McGee would be a decent add because he's a big guy and an experienced depth piece. But he wasn't really an NFL caliber player last year, and if he played serious minutes it would do more to make me question Koyack/Smythe than anything else. But he wouldn't be bad to add in case of injury, etc. and we have an open scholly.

Instead, he's been granted an unconditional release and, after he receives his degree in psychology next month, will look to transfer to another school to finish his college career, though he is unsure of where he'll go next.

From everything i have read, he SUCKS as a blocker and they were trying to use him as a flexed out te because he couldn't handle blocking but that was taking reps away from faster bigger bodied wr's....he wasn't happy w/ position change as a hback, flex te, really big bodied wr

Right, I totally agree ... and he's likely looking to transfer somewhere where he'll be guaranteed serious playing time. Don't know if we can make any such guarantee, so it may not be a match.

But if we could get him interested in a biz program like Riggs, or in ND for any reason, I think it would be a great add.

Tom Van Haaren hinted Michigan will be all over this, especially with Jake Butt ACL injury. Eww.
