Let me add to the list:

-If Greg Bryant got into the game early and fumbled at the ND 20 yard line (or in the red zone at a critical point) -> we would have a giant melt down
-If Tarean Foltson was in at RB, missed an audible, and Tommy got crushed and knocked out for the season -> we would have a giant melt down
-If Folston and/or Bryant come out of the tunnel wearing white Adidas rather than black Nikes -> we will have a melt down
-If Kelly plays the freshmen, and then Amir Carlisle decides to leave because he's not getting PT -> we would have a giant melt down
-If ND doesn't score a TD on its first drive MSU -> we will have a giant melt down

To simplify:

-If ND is playing -> we will have a giant melt down

haha no ****, we go 2-1 to start the year and we should already fire our OC, our SC, and switch Defenses.

ND Nation is probably making fun of us for once.

LOL.

I know. I don't get the sky-is-falling stuff.

I guess a lot of people just hoped we'd take a major step forward as a program this off-season, and thus far it doesn't look like we have. But, imho, this program is still in much better shape than it's ever been in at any point during my time as a serious ND fan (about 15 years). So I'm not freaking out. I'm just trying to enjoy the games.

WHAT!!?!? When did we switch to Nike? I can't believe this! Was there a thread about this? What's next, new uniforms every week? Field turf? Jumbotron?

It's all about the black Nikes. I know it. You know it. Boobie Miles knows it.

And speaking of Boobie Miles, can you believe that Lou Holtz was considering offering that kid a scholarship?! No way he could've qualified!

Don't be alarmed by the bump, but I found some info that I would've put in Eddie V's thread if it weren't locked and I wanted to see what everyone thought.

I was reading an article on Mekale McKay, a WR at UC that transferred from Arkansas over the summer. He was cleared to play just before the season started due to family issues. Being a secondary UC fan, I was interested in his story.

In the story, he references his grandmother's poor health as to why he transferred and why he was cleared immediately by the NCAA.

Now, in no way am I making light of any family situation, but the story referenced her high blood pressure and an irregular heartbeat that was "bad" as to why he made the decision/was cleared.

The story makes it seem as if she is fine now, which makes me believe the NCAA has gotten much more lenient on the issues that would result in immediate eligibility after a transfer, which made me think about EV right away.

The story is here and is pretty short if you want to read through and find the bit about his being cleared:

LOL... that is just.... stupid.

You would think they would worry about him transferring within the conference more than some BS personal stuff that has no real impact. I guess that is why they are in the situation they are in.

Will Muschamp is totally Mitch from Waiting in this scene:

Boston College is Dane Cook wondering "Why me!? What did I do???"

It's dumb that teams can block grad school "transfers." They aren't even really transfers in the traditional sense of the word. AND, not to mention, why the hell would they block him from going to BC, other than spite? Typical classy gesture by Florida.

It says Syracuse and UConn recruited Murphy out of high school and he's from Connecticut -- so maybe Diaco gets his QB? Don't know UConn's QB situation.

Probably because Steve Addazio is the head coach and recruitted him at UF. I think he was the OC there.

I think this might be right ... the fact that BC and Louisville both have former UF assistant coaches as their current head coaches is the only relevant thing I can think of that they have in common ...

but I still don't get why that matters? I mean you don't see us blocking Hendrix from transferring to Miami (OH). Well that's not quite the same, actually ... but still, who cares if those guys recruited him to UF? I don't see why that's grounds for blocking him from playing for them. Is that an NCAA violation of some kind? Don't get it.

Exactly, and talk about burning bridges... there must be more to it... but if that's it... very petty.

Here's what Florida is worried about. He transfers to Louisville, Strong flips him to Tenn (where he becomes part of their 35 man class) for cash and future considerations. Next year, he plays and beats Florida. Crystal Clear.

alot of Urbie's recruits dont seem too chuffed with Muschamp, or Urbie it seems, they were loving it when MSU beat OSU the other week.

I think Florida's transfer list is at least 7 or 8 players long at this point. Rats off a sinking ship.

Oh, and is "chuffed" an Irish phrase? Not familiar with that one.
