Well said, man. I understand why people can get frustrated with Coan, mostly because his lack of mobility is a detriment to this OL, but he has played pretty damn good football since his redemption late @ VT.
It goes without saying that the offenses ceiling would be highest with Buchner, but clearly BK and Rees prefer Coan's higher floor.
Would love to see more 50/50 split between Buchner and Coan but they're going to keep doing the 75/25 ish we've been seeing.
At the end of the day, I think one of the mods said it in another thread, maybe this one, but anyone who thinks this is a 8-1 football time without Coan is kidding themselves.
I'll say this. If my choices were:
1. Coan stays healthy and takes every snap but no Pyne or Buchner to come in.
2. No Coan but you get Buchner and Pyne to do with as you wish.
I think we'd be better off with choice #2. I've seen too many games where Pyne and Buchner had to come in and spark the offense.
Great game to be at, but not as much fun as the 2014 gem.
