How would people be acting if this was one of the "better" players on the team? If this were Manti, or Tuitt for that matter?
We don't know the full story, and even so, Tommy deserves the benefit of the doubt until we do. I don't think people acted with this much uproar when Mike Floyd got hit with multiple drinking arrests along the lines of DUI!
Using this as a proxy to remove him in your eyes from the QB spot is irresponsible. As someone already said, assault could mean anything. Keep in mind that he's underage. Who hasn't run from a party in their lifetime?
The justice system will take their course, as will the University disciplinary system and BK, but for some to use this as a way to take shots at Tommy, or have him kicked off the team is just wrong.
After all, isn't this guy a player for a team, program, and university that we all love? If you can't support this guy, who by all accounts is a good person, and use the FIRST time he screws up as an opportunity to bash him because you want someone else on the team at his position, then what are you doing even supporting the team? Come on.
