The Recruit that Got Away

Since we're now past signing day, I thought it would be interesting to pick one ND recruit that you think will tear it up in CFB. Pick someone that ND pursued and either stopped for whatever reason or who just didn't pick ND. But have it be someone kinda under the radar and didn't get as much fanfare (ex] don't pick AQM).

My pick: Darius Latham

I like the kid's versatility to play O or D. I think he could swing inside and be an OG or be a good RT. And at 6'5" 290, he could play DE or DT in a 4 man front in our 3-4. I think Kevin Wilson got a steal here and I think he'll be a really good player at the college level.

Honorable mention: Tyler Boyd, Dajuan Drennon, Donovan Munger

Watched him play against Reynoldsburg, this past year. I wasn't impressed, which is to say that the kid didn't really stand out on the field. I would expect a kid who is being recruited by the likes of Michigan/Notre Dame to be a force on a high school football field.

Isaac Sav...I don't know why we never really put the absolute, Diaco-esque, full court press on him so I can't say that he got away... next..

AQM... We had him and it was all set but grades appeared to be the stumbling block, which clearly is out of our hands...nothing you can do...next

Winner: Ty Isaac... Our backyard, position (before Bryant and Folston) of need, Linebacker possibly...Got to lock down local talent.
