Maybe it was just the tv audio but I didnt think it was that loud in that stadium. Anyone that was actually there can you follow up? I was just expecting much louder

Say whatever about Leonard's passing today, but Love's TD doesn't happen with Hartman or Book. Defenders were scared of Riley running and bit like crazy on that. Now we get this run to get him synced up with receivers, and this offense could be insane.
Book was a good runner. Dual Threat in the end.

# 7 ND just beat #20 Texas AM on the road.

NDs Defense played great. They deserve a better offense.

Leonard is run first, maybe run 2nd but decent when needed to throw and a big upgrade over Sam Hartman.

First game. New QB, new WRs, New OL… I’m happy. First game is always rough.

11 penalties for 99 yards. Gross.

2-12 on 3rd down. Gross.

0 turnovers, 2 INTs

Beaux Collins stock up

Love stock up.

Price with one of the weirdest days. 47 yard TD, then 7 carries for -3 yards in his other carries.

It was very loud and high-energy all night.

They’re not all gonna be pretty, the left side of the OL had a rough night and the team as a whole had too many penalties. Leonard also was realllllly rough until towards the end of the game. Missed a lot of wide open guys and didn’t display a ton of touch.

But big positives:
-The defense is as advertised.
-Right side of the OL played very consistent all night.
-RBs made big plays when it mattered.
-WRs were pretty darn good when given the opportunity to make a play on the ball. They also consistently got open most of the night and ran way better routes than last year.
-Consistent field goal kicking.

Forward looking they just gotta get the left side of the OL figured out over the course of the season, hopefully by Louisville it’s passable.
Pendleton looked like complete ass a few times…and yet can certainly see why he got the start and is the future. There are some serious traits there. If we do make the playoffs by that time I think he will be a borderline stud.

Also, give some credit to Ford sticking in there to pass block. Should have had a TD. Didn’t see that on my bingo card. 5 months ago he was playing defense and special teams right?

It wasnt. The PA and music were loud, but i commented to my wife on several occasions that it wasn't nearly as loud as i expected. Not even in the same universe as 2017 Miami.
Also there were not many irish fans there, but those of us who were made a lot of noise. Tons of lets go irish chants.

Pendleton had a bad moment or two, but the tight ends were much more concerning in run blocking than anything the line did imo
Absolutely. Flanigan was pretty awful. It would be nice to have a Davis Sherwood-type this season. Evans will be an upgrade once he’s back, but man Flanigan and to a lesser extent Raridon just are not blockers at this point.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here but he single handedly:
-Blew a protection so Leonard got hit when he could've dumped the ball off to Price for a TD
-Blew another protection that killed a drive
-Got beat horribly bad on two other plays to blow them up
-Had a key false start in the second half that helped kill a drive

That's off the top of my head, I dunno if it's actually correct, but it's what I remember from the live watch.
