I live right in the middle of Dawg country and I find their fan base to be the same as most fan bases. You have some good fans and some obnoxious fans. Just depends on which ones you interact with that tends to form your opinion.

Been to many of their games, home and away.

A great bunch of fans is my experience.

Watched their game against App State and Fromm looked so much better than Eason in that game and better than Eason at any point last year. Still think we're plenty capable of winning but I'd feel a lot more confident with Eason back there.

Think they'll sell out to stop the run and try to force Wimbush to beat them from the pocket. If he's on I think we win handily. If not, it'll be a tight game. Can't stare down his receivers like last week. Hoping to see more RPOs as well.

I was looking forward to watching this game and just now realized that I can't watch it because I have at&t uverse and NBC is off the air because affiliation agreement something or another not being met. Does anyone know how I might be able to watch it online? I'm super bummed and pissed.

You can't pick up an NBC with $9.95 digital rabbit ears?

I wasn't that impressed with Fromm. 10-15 for 143 yards against App. St. Either threw quick, short throws or a few dying ducks deep. No intermediate passes at all. I'd feel less confident with Eason back there with that arm that can make any throw.

Must be a local thing as I have Uverse and NBC.

Why not go to any bar in the city?

I have this tiny shred of hope TP and Wildman come off the top rope with a PTHF video for tomorrow, and just subtly post it with a "I'll just leave this here"

Neither have Florida or Auburn to my knowledge. But it has nothing to do with skin color at this point obviously. Don't think any of those schools have gone west either.

I think I read that Georgia played in Colorado in the 2000s, technically north of Mason Dixon. But I don't think that Mason Dixon runs from the Atlantic to Pacific, so that doesn't count, I suppose.

You are correct. They did play a game in Colorado. Forgot about that one.

I live in Los Angeles. Was born, raised, and schooled in the midwest.

You can buy tickets to Stanford at USC right now for $27.
Georgia at Notre Dame tickets currently start at $525.

West coast people have no idea how much they don't get how much football matters to the midwest and the south.

Yeah, but add in the money you have to pay for gas going through LA traffic and that evens the prices out.

I guess so. I live in Indy so it's the local affiliate WTHR, channel 13.
The issue is with Dispatch Broadcasting. WTHR, which is NBC Indianapolis, and WBNS, which is CBS Columbus. You should be able to stream on the NBC app and/or the Uverse app. But these things tend to not last more than a few days so you might be back on air by then.

I sure hope so. I could also look into uverse app/ to possibly stream the game. Hopefully they fix issue and we will have our local affiliate back on by then.

I was in the mountains last week for the Temple game and wound up buying the NBC Gold package for streaming all ND home games. It was $70 for Canada but I think the package was about $49 in the U.S. You can also purchase the individual games.

It worked okay, there were some "buffering" issues that affected video (not audio) and overall I was satisfied (not ecstatic). Something to look into anyway.

I'll be hunting in the mountains late October through to December so it seemed like a pretty good investment providing I can maintain reliable wifi at the cabin. Cheers!

And In That Corner … The Georgia Bulldogs, led by freshman QB Jake Fromm – Inside the Irish

Georgia’s ability to run the ball rests on its offensive line getting push in the trenches. That’s not something they did often enough last year. Georgia lost three starters — including left tackle starter Tyler Catalina who made the Redskins’ roster as an undrafted free agent — but its best lineman remains in senior Isaiah Wynn, who shifted from left guard to left tackle. True freshman Andrew Thomas (6-5, 320) from Lithonia, Ga., won the starting right tackle job. Georgia has been rotating guards and should have first-time starters this week in sophomore Solomon Kindley and junior Kendall Baker.

What holes in the Bulldogs’ defense might the Irish look to exploit?
Look to the secondary. Georgia lost Alabama graduate transfer Maurice Smith who started at the star nickelback last season. Malkom Parrish, a senior who is arguably their best cornerback, is expected to miss his second straight game with a foot injury. Senior cornerback Aaron Davis is battling a hamstring injury but may play. The Bulldogs had some transfers that thinned its depth and now rely on inexperienced players as backups. There is young talent in five-star freshman safety Richard LeCounte.

Big keys to this game. Add in a true frosh qb on road. I looked ND in this one.

Answers in above link are from guy who has covered GA since 2003. He picks a ND win.

Did they seriously interrupt the radio show or was it a commercial break?

Yeah, I know a few Georgia grads. All are pleasant people re: football watching and everything else. I'm just relaying what I've heard from choice encounters in Chicago and South Bend today... sober, a full 48 hours before kickoff too... and it sounds sort of shocking the amount of open hostility some of them are displaying to anyone wearing ND apparel. I expected them to be a lot more like Clemson fans... passionate but courteous. Shrug.

You lost me there LAX. These are UGA fans on vacation in Chicago. For the next 4-5 days, "sober" is not in their dictionary.

Indianapolis nbc is out on direct and uverse.

Here is how it reads on the Direct website.

Notre Dame hosts Georgia in primetime Saturday night, and that game remains available over the air on channel 13 and NBC Sports often streams its Irish games live at NBCsports.com and to fans using the NBC Sports app. Please check online for availability in Indianapolis.
