Rewatched ND temple game today, here are my thoughts...
Temple lost their 5 best starters in their front 7 coming into this game.. and with an average of 75th best recruiting class the last 4 years, u can see why ND ran wild on them...that said, wimbush and st brown are scary!.. especially st brown.. wimbush had quite a few moments where he made very bad throws and couldn't go through his progressions, despite all day back there.. running backs didn't impress me, but their OL did, we are going to need to stop the run and rpo, and make wimbush beat us with his arm..
ND defense is still average at best.. they get zero pressure on qb, and are really weak in the secondary... ND linebackers are nothing special
PREDICTION
Fromm will have time, and he will make a lot of easy throws and that will open up the running game.. I believe that in the second half that Chubb and Michel will run wild.. ND is too small and safe in their defense.. and will wear down..
.. now, will that be enough? I don't know, IF notre dame can run the ball effectively, wimbush will put up 28 points at least on our D.. but if we shutdown the run and make wimbush throw, he likes to dump underneath, and we can stop them on third and medium for sure..
Georgia 28, notre dame 24... if our D does its job
To me Notre Dame is a good match up for us.. our strength of running ball and Fromm's with lots of time is a great match up, while ND's strength is running the ball, while our run D is best aspect of our team.. our strengths play to their weaknesses, while their strengths have to go against our strengths.. I feel good about it after rewatching the temple game
