Don't forget, we were better than Miami last year. Yeah the game was a disaster but we were the more talented team. The FSU game still pisses me off to this day because we had won that game. We outplayed them. The Clemson game in the monsoon was fluky.
I'm still trying to forget about that Miami game, because I don't believe the results were repeatable. As for the Clemson game, I completely disagree. Kelly chased points too early and too often. IIRC, ND had the same amount of scoring drives as Clemson (and didn't they all happen in the 2nd half, once they stopped running the ball every play?) but lost because of conversion attempts. Actually, the Clemson game is more rage inducing for me. I don't care about the announcer saying that 4&17 will go down in Notre Dame lore if Notre Dame beats FSU. Losing because of what you can control, which is what happened in the Clemson game, is worse. That's just my opinion though.

Shocked that Tony Jones was an ankle. That looked like they were checking out his knee. Bars would be absolutely devastating.

I think Bars may be the worst. Let’s hope that Don-Joy protected his ligament from being torn. Dude was playing himself into a nice NFL Draft Day.

tbf that's a pretty dickish question.

I dunno. Seems fair, given the options.
A: Love not doing much and then getting hurt.
B: Inability to protect Costello against a four-man rush.
C: Getting like 40 yards in the entire second half.

did you expect a CNN to HRC type of softball?.
they got dominated and there really wasn't a nice Q to ask

That's fine, but he isn't particularly obligated to answer, and I wouldn't have either. That's a landmine question that's designed to be used against you in the press clippings. "Stanford coach blames Costello for loss, states he is 'most disappointed' with QB play."

"Your yardage was significantly less tonight than your average throughout the year, what was ND doing that caused the trouble?" is a question I would answer.

all he has to do is coach speak it. "i thought i could have prepared them better. all around poor execution", etc.. pick a script.

None of these are really the questions we want answered from Shaw though:

"Do you think you look more like a penis or a turtle?"

Possibly. I think the biggest impact of the "new look" ND, will be WR and RB recruiting in general. Doors will start to open now with Book dealing it like a boss.

Anybody have a full game replay up yet? I had to be at a work party last night so I didn't get to watch the game.

Boykin simply dominated this game. The talk was about their tall WRs and they had some moments in the first half. However, all game long Boykin took it to their secondary.

Boykin had himself a huge game. Him and book building trust in each other could be amazing

Doubt it. Sinclair and Pakola are both from the South Bay, so very close to Stanford, and I can't remember which one, but one of them is a legacy I believe. Rouse I believe chose Stanford mainly b/c of numbers. ND has Carroll, Correll, Kristofic and Olmstead already on board.

People who chose Stanford over ND don't do it because of head to head results. These are intelligent kids who do a complete cost/benefit analysis and go with what they feel is the best long term decision for themselves.

I guess I look at it like Clemson was the real deal. They were very, very good. They damn near won it all that year and did win it all the next year. We made some questionable decisions but I feel in my heart Clemson was the better team. And we played them in atrocious conditions. It is what it is.

That FSU team was wack. They weren't good and skated by all year long with these lucky rallies. Now we didn't prove to be the better team by the end of the year but I'm convinced we never recovered from having that win taken from us by the refs. If we win that game I think we finish the year with 10 or 11 wins. That loss took the wheels off the season.

However, having no fans and a historically awful record and atmosphere hurt Stanford with the kids who wanted it all---academics and athletics. Their rise athletically has been awful for ND for this reason.

Yes, good point. A good Stanford does pull away West Coast kids who want it all like you said. When Stanford returns to their historic norm it will be great for ND.

No. Sounds made up haha

Trust me I wish I was making it up, it was pretty outrageous. We were in section 2 right above the tunnel.

Thankfully the guys played out of their minds last night to make the night a little better!
