Ahoy!

Yep. I keep checking the line expecting it to swing towards OSU and am reassured. In college football a 3ish line is basically a toss up.The line is holding, and ND has even gained more % of the bets.
The line holding isn’t from ND/Cubs/insert historical boomer team fans making casual bets, it’s holding from skilled bettors with real money.
We may not win, but it at least appears this time people with knowledge are at least conceding we have a chance.

I attended the 1995 ND-Ohio State game in Columbus and the 1996 game in South Bend. Their fans are truly awful——absolute worst.I live in Columbus and have a lot of age 40-something friends who have gone from their young "we're awesome and everyone else sucks" days, to now bashing everything about Ryan Day and talking about this game like they will lose because of him. What pisses me off is that a Notre Dame victory would only result in them saying, "I told you so". It's impossible to relish in a victory against the Buckeyes. Anytime they lose there is some excuse about the coaching, but that they are still the best team in the country regardless.
I don't personally hate Ohio State. I hate most of their fanbase. They cheer more for the other team to lose, than they do for their own team to win. It's exhausting. SPOILED and DELUSIONAL are two words that I used to describe the OSU fanbase to a more level headed buckeye fan the other day. It was as though he's never heard someone say this out loud before, but his silence tells me that he had a moment of clarity and agreed in some weird way.
Please, please let them win on Saturday so that I can come into work with a sh#tty grin on my face while staying classy.
Let’s also remember that the color red/scarlet in general stands out. That’s why stop lights and emergency vehicles are red. So when we look at a group of people, the one person wearing red will catch our attention.I read Sampson's article on the Athletic this morning about "keeping the red out" of the stadium. ( Link to article )
The athletic department hired two people last year that came from big time football programs in the south. Their primary job is to keep opposing fans out. However there is only so much they can do. Swarbrick won't allow any type of punishment for season ticket holders who sell their tickets to opposing fans, even though they know who these people are. So it is really about trying to motivate people to keep their tickets.
Also the OSU ticket allotment is not all in one area anymore. They will be spread in the last row of the stadium all around so as not to create any blocks of red.

Yeah I don’t know what to think on the percentage breakdown. However the level of data they are collecting is also really impressive. If it doesn’t go well they could look at some other options. Swarbrick is afraid to take any more aggressive measures against ticket holders but the next guy may not be.I read it too. This part is good, but I kind of doubt they will keep out the riff-raff. I don't think they really want to fight it, they just want to sell tickets. I was shocked that only 45% of ticket sales are season ticket holders.
I never understood why this wasn't done before regarding the allotment not being in 1 spot. You would think this would be the most simple and effective way.I read Sampson's article on the Athletic this morning about "keeping the red out" of the stadium. ( Link to article )

Valenti and Rico?Detroit Sports radio is high on ND lol thinks OSU is still soft AF and ND will out physical them as Michigan has been doing last two years
yep thats them aha yeah but they dislike OSU more than they dislike NDValenti and Rico?
That's actually surprising because Valenti is no fan of ND
Haven’t read the story yet but I assume that doesn’t count student tickets? There’s probably 10K of those, or about 13 percent of the capacity. So you’re really up near 60 percent. They also give out a lot of tickets through the alumni lottery, and then alumni clubs also get big bunches. Etc.I read it too. This part is good, but I kind of doubt they will keep out the riff-raff. I believe it said including student ticketsHaven’t read the story yet but I assume that doesn’t count student tickets? There’s probably 10K of those, or about 13 percent of the capacity. The number of general-sale tickets available for a game like this is going to be pretty small.

No but Valenti was glorious to listen to after the 2006 ND/Sparty game when Johnelle was the HCValenti and Rico?

There is a big gulf between the perception of Ohio State (offense isn't as good as past years // not physical in the trenches) and what many of the "experts" think (OSU is one of the two or three most complete teams in the country and has an underrated defense full of NFL talent).
I'm still a little skeptical on the ND defense and ND OL, and I think best case scenario is something like ND 31 Ohio State 27. I can't see ND winning a blowout and I think there is a solid chance that Ohio State wins something like 38-17 with ND not being able to hit the big plays they've been feasting on through four weeks.

The only way I see a blowout in NDs favor is McCord gets the Brian Kelly Big Game eyes where he is totally petrifiedThere is a big gulf between the perception of Ohio State (offense isn't as good as past years // not physical in the trenches) and what many of the "experts" think (OSU is one of the two or three most complete teams in the country and has an underrated defense full of NFL talent).

Yeah, the defense would really have to capitalize on some turnovers to make that happen. Like you said, McCord & the rest of the team would have to piss down their legs. The only way I see a blowout in NDs favor is McCord gets the Brian Kelly Big Game eyes where he is totally petrified
That he was, that he was.
I actually like Valenti. He hates the Wolverines so damn much it's music to my ears.
