Buckle your chin strap as a fan if you want to go to this game-these folks wont be as nice as they were treated at Notre Dame.

Gummy's younger brother Malone is a 2020 OL recruit who visited UGA over the weekend. Don't see much info on him but i'd guess hes a walk-on candidate

Why Georgia-Notre Dame is college football’s most anticipated 2019 game (Dawg Nation)

When Georgia football beat Notre Dame 20-19 in the second week of the 2017 season, it was an early sign the Bulldogs were going to have a special year. Georgia, and Notre Dame, will be presented with the same opportunity when the Fighting Irish visit Athens early in the 2019 campaign.

The two programs figure to be ranked in the top-10 when they meet on Sept. 21. They each have interesting week 1 tests, as Georgia plays at Vanderbilt and Notre Dame visits Louisville. But barring any stunning upsets, both should enter the week 4 game unbeaten.

This game also should have a plenty of bad blood with it, given what happened during Notre Dame’s College Football Playoff loss. While the Fighting Irish were losing to the eventual champion Clemson Tigers, a number of Georgia football players took to Twitter and questioned whether the Fighting Irish should have been in the playoff at all.

Of course, the Georgia players followed up the tweets by losing to Texas in the Sugar Bowl. It was a tough look for the Bulldogs, and it’s something the Notre Dame players won’t forget.

It’s also worth remembering that Georgia fans quite literally took over Notre Dame’s Stadium when they played back in 2017, leading to a public backlash against Notre Dame fans for selling their tickets to so many Georgia supporters....
They're just trying to sell tickets.

Got 2?

Notre Dame v Georgia tickets

Best seats - $2253 per, Lowest - $482

UGA fans are trying to cash in (like normal) this early. I've went to plenty of big UGA games without tix and paid face or a little more same day or right at kickoff. I realize folks want to have tix in hand before travelling, but unless things are really different, there'll be plenty of scalpers unloading. I'd bet they get cheaper in the secondary market closer to game time.

For this game... Turned down invites/tix from few UGA buds that I've taken to UT games. I'll likely be at the beach, and didn't really feel like hanging with UGA guys anyway. Already heard too much about the game in SB lol. I'll hate if I don't go and we somehow win.

Yep, Pete was all over it last night. All about those ratings.

It honestly shocked me that CBS is only allowed one night game a year.

Seems strange to me as well. Does anyone have any insight as to why/how this works? Do the networks simply not want that much competition over ratings?

ABC, ESPN, and even ESPN 2 almost always have a game at 7:30 - 8:00PM EST, so I wonder if CBS just prefers being the elite 3:30 game and staying away from the prime time ratings struggle...

Throw in a night time ND kickoff on NBC and you have yourself a cluster-F***.

I think it has to do with how the conference wants to maximize viewership and $. Majority of the night games fall to ESPN family of networks. CBS gets to pick what game they want first, ESPN gets the leftovers. That way, they get the benefit of both CBS and ESPN.

So, not exactly breaking news as of now, but UGA's top returning receiver Jeremiah Holloman was booted from the team regarding an investigation stemming from an incident with his ex-girlfriend from last spring.

Huge loss. They were already woefully inexperienced at receiver and now they have to replace the most experienced and arguably most talented of the group.

I saw his first college game in Sydney. He was on the recieving end of the first college pass ever thrown here but I cannot recall if he caught it or not. I think it was incomplete.

Next year of the Georgia and Michigan games, if you only win one, which would it be...?
