Another game vs a running QB. You'll probably see a very similar game plan vs CMU as we just had vs NC State. Maintain lanes ,don't over rush trying to get a sack, make qb beat you from the pocket (He can't do that).

Another game where we can't really go after the sack with our Dline. I expect that changes and needs to change vs OSU.

”Brian Kelly Bowl”

The Emanuel kid can fly. Didn’t he rack up almost 200 yds in rushing in a game last year? Relax, I’m not saying ND fans should be worried just thought he presents another interesting QB for ND to face.

Navy - option QB
NCST - dual-threat QB who had monstrous season in 2021
CMU - running QB w/ elite speed
OSU - 5* true freshman w/ best WR corps in the nation
Duke - likely 1st rounder who knocked off Clemson single-handedly
Louisville - QB who will be starting his 3rd game vs ND for his 3rd different team
SC - reigning Heisman winner & likely #1 overall pick in 2024 NFL Draft
Pitt - former ND recruit who will be facing ND for his 2nd different team
Clemson - 5* soph who played w/ Jaden Greathouse in HS. Will be expected to look much better than he did last season w/ more 1st team reps under his belt
WF - Senior Day vs Hartman’s old team. His replacement has looked decent thus far. Nice win over Vandy
Stanford - shouldn’t matter

McCord is a 5 star Junior for OSU fwiw, not freshman.

I’m guessing CMU is signigicantly better than TSU, but significantly worse than NC State. Sound right?

I would say slightly better than TSU, but significantly worse than NC State.

New Hampshire had 493 yard passing on CMU @ CMU, and scored 42 points. They had 540 total yards where as CMU had 440. They have an athletic QB that will run the ball on a number of designed calls. MSU beat them 31-7 and MSU isn't good. Their QB has a similar throwing motion (maybe even worse) to buchner, and similar results (picks).

New Hampshire's RB had 295 yards receiving. Lets you know about the speed of their LBs

52-13 sounds about right if ND is locked in and not making dumb mistakes looking ahead to OSU.

Who y'all think gets the start in place of Bertrand? Move Kiser over and move Snead into Kisers spot?

When was the last time we had 3 lbs on the field at the same time (not counting navy)?

Just like second half of nc state. Sneed Kiser Marist 3 man rotation for 2 lb positions. CMU is in 3 wide a lot which is guaranteed nickel for us.

Harper or lewis were in nickel/dime for 72 of 78 plays vs nc state with a QB that likes to run.

Freeman talked about both being out at least another week (this week). Did not sound optimistic about Rubio next weekend either but that’s just my read on it

Raridon looks closer than Rubio. Rubio still had a limp walking around Saturday. Eli is probably just needing to feel comfortable out there
Based on MF comments about Eli, it may be as mental as it is physical. Maybe even more so.

Yeah he was sky high jumping for some warm up catches… still has bounce, no braces … didn’t see him running or cutting full speed though
