Neither Gerard or Al want to talk specifics. lol
The cheeky smile from Parker on the unbalanced formation said exactly that haha, he's respectful in his responses but he's not looking to tip his hand

This is the last game of the season that I will able to view with minimal to zero concern. Iron some things out, work on a few things, get some 2s and 3s reps, then roll into the teeth of this thing.

Sorry if this has already been covered, but will the game be broadcast on NBC or is it solely on Peacock?

Has no one in the media asked the question of how this changes everyone's roles? Seems like a pretty big question mark. Heard Golden go on about Bowen for a bit really hope that's not the answer we're going with.

Bowen is next on the depth chart, so I would think he would. Granted, they may take him out whenever they are in nickel, which is pretty frequent. Then again, maybe he might play so well that JD gets Wally Pipped 😉

I love that Sneed is getting more reps. I'm also happy that Bertrand is getting a 1/4-1/3 season breather due to being banged up.

This team runs enough and appears not great at passing so I'd expect more 3 LB sets this Saturday. I'm hoping Sneed, Bowen and Ausberry get reps.

The staff might be saving Ausberry for 4 big games though? Or is he on a kick coverage unit?

I bet Bowen doesn't get a single first half snap. I think you'll see 3 rotate for 2 spots. Marist and Kiser Starts, Sneed rotates in some
I was going based off the depth chart, but I suppose they could move Sneed over to fill in

I’m excited to see how Kiser does being the QB of the defense…….I don’t think it was a coincidence that NC State scored the majority of their points after Bertrand was injured.

CMU runs a ton of 3 wide to try and get less in the box so the QB has more room to run. Same as NC St. I suspect you'll see mostly nickel and 2 lbs on the field, similar game plan as nc state.

Michigan State was even in nickel a ton vs CMU.

If that's what they run then you are most likely right. But the counter to that is if Golden wants to get his younger guys some serious minutes, Sneed is the closest thing we have to a hybrid LB/SS so he could be out there as one of the Aztecs or whatever. Same with Ausberry, they have serious speed and ability to run with WRs.

But, our safeties also need game reps to be sharp for what's coming the following weeks. I don't envy the staff in having to determine what to give more weight.

Kiser is Bertrand’s backup unless the game is already in hand. He will play Mike. If we have a third LB Sneed will be it. We’ll probably play a lot of 4-2-5 depending of score and how many WR’s they deploy.

I’m hoping Marist is done by halftime.
And most of the defense too.
I don’t want any 2nd Half targeting that will cause them to sit out the 1st half vs OSU.
The way Marist is playing, he is a targeting call waiting to happen, or knocking out (another) teammate going head first.

Do you agree he is playing well?
I aren’t finding time to watch replays much so just going off live action.
