So we're going to make a FG this week!

No 4 TDs with all the XP missed or 3 TDs with 2 pt conversions

I agree Gardner has he ability to extend some plays as well. But I don't think you can go into a game preparing for a DT QB when he is obviously not that most of the time. Just enough to keep you honest. It will be interesting to see what BD does with the Irish D. I am more concerned with the middle of the field being open than I am with Gardner running.

Gardner is more of a dual threat QB than Michigan allows him to be. Even when Robinson was there Hoke and Co. moved towards a less mobile offense. I think we have no problem if they stay within that, but if the allow him more freedom to run we need to keep him inside.

Oh, you mean the season where Brady tore his ACL and the Pats didn't make the playoffs?

Pats were 16-0 in the regular season the year before, and Cassell was throwing to a Randy Moss still in his prime and a Wes Welker that was just entering his prime. He threw for 21 TD's vs. 11 INT's throwing to those guys. Brady threw for 50 TD's and 8 picks the year before.

Fact: before Brady, Belicheck was a failure in Cleveland and 5-13 in New England.
Fact: Belicheck has never made the playoffs in New England without Tom Brady at QB.

And what was Brady before Belicheck? A back up. A 6th round choice? A college QB who was called upon to be replaced by his own fan base? Belicheck obviously became a head coach because he was successful at the lower levels to work his way up. Brady on the other hand struggled in college and was a back up 6th round pick in the NFL.

They lost to 3 undefeated teams on the road - that's a big part of why people don't focus much on the 8-5 overall record. Has any team ever played 3 undefeated teams before?

ND, OSU, and ?

Mine to. Going to be a long day of tailgating. Hoping to get into the golf course to do it.

My scUM friends who tailgate on the golfcourse regularly tell me that they are opening up at noon, but apparently the line is starting around nine....AM! Just a heads up if anyone is planning that route...

late to party on the dtqb convo but i read that lax, your conclusion was there is a significant difference in our d vs a mobile qb.

would you say it is safe to say that's the case for every team?

i mean isn't that why all levels of football are using them and tailoring their offenses astound them?

unless you got laser rocket arm Peyton then why go "immobile" qb?

aube- had to rep you for east bound gif

Officially game day. I would rather win this game than any other game this year for so, so many reasons.

I didn't look it up, so I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Jordan never made the playoffs (or even had a winning season?) with the Bulls until Pippen got there.

You would be wrong.
Jordan never missed the playoffs with Da Bulls.

His most famous moment pre-dynasty, was dropping 63 on the Celtics.

This is the kind of nonsense that dominates sports and makes most other sports fans unbearable to me. "I don't know or give a **** about what I'm talking about, but let me just say **** because I love saying ****." Sweet, man.

Sorry, Dad.

I thought this was true. I was wrong. Will you be ok or will this make you lose sleep?

Jordan's record as a Bull without Pippen: 108-138 (.439) record as a Chicago Bull.

Michael Jordan took the Bulls to the playoffs every year he played. The final year before Pippens arrival they made it to the eastern conference semi finals, and posted a .610 win percentage. After Pippen arrived it still took Phil Jackson to take them all the way to the finals.

Not to be a stickler, but you're wrong too.
Jordan never won a series without Pip.
Pippen and Grant's rookie year are when they upset Cleveland in 5 but lost to Detroit (sucks).

I don't know why you guys are worried. I called this a couple hundred posts back. After this game they won't believe that they have to add Rees to the Heisman talk.

You're right! I even questioned that as I wrote it and had to look up when Pippen was drafted. I looked up the bulls draft picks of that year and he wasn't on it. Forgot the Sonics drafted him. Either way, it took Phil Jackson to win the championships, obviously including the talents of Jordan and Pippen. Doug Collins couldn't beat Detroit.
