Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Michigan Wolverines (-4)

ATS pick: Notre Dame

Four points is a significant spot in a series dominated by close games and outright underdog victories. We're eager to back both of these teams this season and beyond, but, although Michigan looks like the Big Ten's best team, we think Notre Dame is a little further ahead right now. Quarterback Devin Gardner is excellent, an upgrade over even a talent such as Denard Robinson.

Defensive coordinator Greg Mattison is an elite assistant, and the Wolverines might have the best set of tackles in the nation. Still, Michigan is too weak up the middle on both sides of the ball. That's most evident in the interior offensive line, and that's where Notre Dame's biggest edge lies. The pass rush of Stephon Tuitt and Prince Shembo against Michigan's tackles is the glitzier matchup, but the push of Louis Nix III in the middle against the Michigan interior will make it very difficult for the Wolverines to spring a tailback game that was AWOL last season. Notre Dame is still looking for more from its backs, as well, but the Irish can run between the tackles enough to force some favorable matchups for Tommy Rees and an outstanding receiving corps.

Score: Notre Dame 31, Michigan 28

Oh, and I won't see ESPN gameday either. So if anyone could give a brief description of some good signs and possibly who eavh person chose and what outfit Corso put on I would be grateful.

Probably not gonna happen. Lol. But there is an ******* I used to work with that is about as bad of a U of M fan as it gets. So in the early to mid 2000s (I don't remember the exact year but we still worked together) we beat them. So as soon as the score was final, I drove my *** to his house with gold spray paint and painted a massive interlocking ND on his front ****ing lawn in gold spray paint.
