I agree the wave is terrible but this was one of those rare exceptions when you are crushing a team you hate and it's essentially a big middle finger to their team. It went around 3 times max. Actually pretty proud of the stadium for doing it when they did and for so few rotations.

I kinda want to write a letter to the AD's office about it. I know that nothing will be done, but it's time to be consistent with the StaND policy from USC last year. Either do it or make everybody sit down. Because the next fan that puts his hands on me will be met with more than a glare.

I thought the atmosphere was awesome. One of the top three games I have been to out there. Section three stood the entire game. Everyone! The only time anyone sat was during those long ass media timeouts and the quarters. If you wanted to see , you had to stand. Seemed like everyone understood that.

I recognize that Hoke was in a tough spot for this interview but my lord...his answers were pathetic. I guess he can't shit on his team or he'll lose them.

Brady Hoke is such a joke. You can't beat that scumbag, he doesn't have enough dignity to just take an L.

His team was physically manhandled and embarrassed last year against MSU and he said "2 or so plays changed this game".

I think it is more than that. I think it is WalMart Wolverine Mind Meld. Seriously, read any of the Michigan's sites propaganda, or fan pustulence. It looked like a beatdown, but it was really a few blown calls and plays, etc., etc. I have seriously never seen a team lose so badly and claim that overall yardage gained was a victory, so that shows that it was just "luck" that the other team won. I would have expected any responsible fan, of a decent team to lament that their team never got to the red zone once! How catastrophic! But not a peep!

Fuck Michigan!

Well, seriously, he can't be as bad as he seems, can he? Maybe he's just out of his depth. I mean I saw two separate interview questions -- both relating, more or less, to his road struggles against ranked teams. And he gave the same answer, something like this:

Q: Brady, you've had difficulty winning on the road against ranked teams. What do you think you need to do to turn that around?

A: Win. Win on the road.

I don't even think he's saying that winning one will get them mentally over the road block. I think he's being kind of a smart ass. It's a fair question, actually, and it should be answered in a way that doesn't trash your own team, but respects the questioner. E.g.:

A: Well, we've struggled a bit in that setting, it's true. I think we need to focus on individual responsibilities and screen out a lot of the smoke and noise that's distracting to that. I need to do a better job of ensuring this. It's my fault, not the kids. They're playing hard, preparing well. But I'm letting too many distractions in. We'll get better.

As it is, he sounds like an ass and not very bright.

He used the phrase "Butt-kicking" and overall was pretty fair in his assessment of ND being the better team. I mean, I hate Michigan more than I think anyone on the planet (connections to ND, OSU, and MSU), but I wouldn't say this is a fair way to criticize Hoke. Also, I think overall he's a good guy (dumbass chicken comments notwithstanding), but he is not a good coach. He just seems like he's in over his head at Michigan, where there are thousands of losers counting on him to provide some meaning to their lives.

I like, in particular, that, while there were some flags in our favor, they were pretty objectively correct calls. So there's no "we got robbed" claims, at least.

If they (esp. the AD) want to argue that a team beat them 31-0 (37-0) with luck, and with no bad ref calls, no fluky plays, missing three starters on defense, and starting a bunch of green kids, then "mazel tov." Your problems are just beginning.
