Off topic...have to ask. When do we get the '15 schedule at the top of the main board? Do we really have to see Jimmy Dean Sausage corn dogs until game day?

ok so i found some tickets here locally, in dallas....question though...how do I spot fake tickets? I have heard and read ALOT about the tickets to this game being counterfeited alot more than usual....what should I be looking for when I meet this guy? I seen someone said his tickets were actually like plastic...is that normal?

I've been to about 10 ND games and never heard of plastic tickets. Look at the hologram, there are some if it's a legit ticket.

From an internet search: "The university says clues to counterfeit tickets include fuzzy printing, rough cuts or perforations, mismatched fonts or the absence of a three-dimensional shamrock hologram with Fighting Irish leprechauns."

Get a steak sandwich from the Knights of Columbus in the middle of campus. Just ask someone where to go and they will point you in the right direction. I would also suggest that you find an ND tailgate with people your age and challenge them to some sort of friendly competition. You will probably make quick friends and drink/eat for free after that if you are respectful and fun.

I've already booked a house down in Austin for the game next year.

Excellent recommendation....the steak sandwiches are great, benefit a good cause, and are an ideal appetizer for the Bevo steaks the Irish will be munching on later in the day. You will find brats, burgers, etc. all over campus offered by student groups. Good fare at bargain prices. I like to smuggle the steak sandwiches into the game.

Yeah I saw them in a news story about the counterfeits. I guess for some reason these are special. Everything I read is saying to look for the hologram so I guess I'll do that. Really don't wanna get screwed but also don't wanna show up and not be able to find any. I'm hearing there are LOTS of ticket less fans heading that way next week.

I live in West Michigan. I'll have to see if we even have a club.

You do. There's a Grand Rapids club and a Muskegon club, each with pretty wide areas. I know there were Texas tickets available to these clubs. My local club is on the small side and got 40 Texas tickets. Another club in MI got 40 USC tickets. Our club only sold six of these within the club membership because "it was not an in-demand game" (friggin blue hairs, I tell you what). So guess what? Anyone who was a member of my club who wanted Texas tickets got them. No, you're not going to get every game through the clubs, but it doesn't really hurt to join and find out what you CAN get.

Thanks. I'll have to look in to it. I'm about 45 mins from Grand Rapids.
This is the first year I've had an issue with tickets. Of the last 5 or 6 years I've had almost any game I wanted available for face. This year not a single game has been offered.

I know Ive seen a couple IE members from Vegas, wondering if any of you know the local spot for ND. Wanna watch the game with fellow members. I've been asked not to come back to 3 B Dubs in Vegas during the 2012 season. They don't like when people are in there being passionate.

The ticket lottery ones look like the ones posted here. Rockne's picture is some type of different finish that looks hard to copy, when you change your angle it can look more matte or whatever. Distinctive when you see it in person though. I have never heard of plastic tickets, then again I have never seen season tickets.

Is that new? I've had lottery tickets the last four years or so and they were always really plain/ugly.

Last season, season tickets were plastic and came with a lanyard. I imagine they'll continue to be like that.

That's what I figured. The link provided showed really nice looking tickets that RDU described as lottery tickets.

They looked like mine that were lottery tickets. Came in a fancy schmancy box too. I got some under my sister-in-laws lottery that she wasn't submitting for and they are exactly the same for USC (different person in the picture but same presentation, look and feel).

Is your sister-in-law in a big time recognition society? Sorin Gold or something?

We had the plastic tickets with the lanyard last year for the Michigan game, gold seats. Previous years I want to say they were the typical tickets made with a poster-board-like material with a glossy, fancy top.

Maybe you only got crappy games which is why the tickets sucked? Texas and USC were nice looking and well presented. Fenway is TBD.

10-4, that's them. I have access to 4 season tix. Each game 2 tix are the oversized plastic for use with a lanyard, the other 2 tix are more conventional size ticket with nice historical reference to past glory game.

I'm still looking for 2 tickets, 3 if you have them. Will pay over face value, but no stub hub/ebay prices.
